yeah im more than aware that you're being sarcastic and not contributing shit to the conversation but I seriously want to know what everyone's problem is right now
I think everyone is implying/telling you straight away you should stop paying attention to ratings/stalkers/creepy people?
I think everyone is implying/telling you straight away you should stop paying attention to ratings/stalkers/creepy people?
like I said it's not even about ratings idk why you're including that
idk this has been happening for about a year on various accounts and imo i think it's time to actually say "ok this is really creepy"

Also, stop arguing about ratings please.
I gotta go to sleep. It's 2 AM. I'm supposed to have a sort of super hard exam on saturday, but I haven't gotten a email about the time yet. Which is a bit annoying.
Anyway, sleep well everyone.
What's up?
I've felt pretty positive and level-headed for such a long time that it's almost nostalgic to feel this hopeless and lonely. Currently getting myself worked up over classwork that I'm finding too confusing to deal with; likely because I'm tired and emotional isolation has made me irritable. Faking illness and cutting class today felt like a good idea while I lay in bed this morning, and I still think it was a relief, but ultimately it wasn't a good idea. Cutting off from people for too long just makes it harder to return.
I'm getting back to the old way of staying up late in the hopes of finding something fulfilling, to make my day seem like less of a waste. My course is engaging enough, but I'm not clicking with it yet. Waking up, going to class, practicing a skill, it all comes together to teach me there's a whole more to life than being productive, and I can't fill the void with self-improvement. That isn't fulfilling enough to make me rest easy at night. It's not enough to motivate me in the morning, and part of me just wants to stay home and rest my head against a mirror.
I understand this is a common problem with my age demographic, but it's still shitty to feel aimless and lost. I feel like a job would make me feel better; to bolster my professional confidence and make the future of adulthood seem less daunting. I've never managed to get a proper job before. I just feel like I have one foot over the edge of a precipice, and my apprehension and fear is just refusal of adulthood. At 21 I'm still so immature, though I don't think I ever really doubted that.
So that's my day.
I will have to code Java for 4-5 hours straight tomorrow can anyone recommend me some good instrumental music (can't write/code with lyrics) to listen while I do it? I'm bored of listening to the same playlists.
night guys.
I'd recommend some classical piano.
I'd recommend some classical.
Fixed that for you. Piano's lame and you should listen to all of it.
Anyway, if you want, tsanummy, I can throw together a playlist of classical music for you that'll last about 4-5 hours or longer if ya want. mine's 24.5hrs, but I also go between that and a 14hr jazz playlist and i'm usually adding to it often

I can relate(a lot), but i am not sure what to tell you.
I don't think a job changes things as much as you hope it would.

don't get me wrong, piano's a nice instrument but I don't really care much for unaccompanied piano (used right, though, I can appreciate it; there's this recording of Nimrod I found with a string orchestra and it's pretty nice)
I used to play piano a long time ago. It's not as fun as most other instruments, though, and I speak from experience (the only family of instruments I don't or can't really play at this point are woodwinds (this does not include flute anymore))

I'd definitely give it a go, I'm a fan of classical but, again, I'm really bad at exploring and end up listening to the same stuff until I'm bored.

I'm subscribed and I listen to that if I'm playing a game about grinding or surfing in CS so I think that can be distract me. Ambiance is good though.

Chiptunes and chillstep will distract me because they are not consistent like progressive, ambiance, etc, they pump me up in a way and when I'm coding things I previously designed I need to feel the tempo to not make stupid mistakes.
What I normally use, in case someone is interested is this: http://www.di.fm/spacemusic
It really helps me cancel any noises coming from the street or other rooms and be focused in general, sort of in a trance where hours pass.
Although I feel the same way about long classical pieces that don't have sudden contrasts or changes in rhythm.

I've always sort of liked the Chillout stations on DI. But normally I just listen to Trance (and its derivatives) and Liquid DnB.

that midterm exam I just wrote counts as anal sex so I'm posting about it here
Pretty bored nowadays. Most of my friends from irl or on steam are at university or doing other things. Plus I did a friends list cleanout like a month ago so Im down to like 18 friends. about half play dota which I'm not into anymore (too much stress) and the other half is doing other things.
I just had one of those moments where you feel pathetic and miserable all of a sudden. I'm just pondering about my plans for the future now, realizing how I'll never be able to live on my own nor find a decent job because I'm a social outcast.
I hate my life sometimes.

idk about you but I feel like this almost every day. It's an awful feeling to have.
I can relate sometimes. Good morning by the way
Vomit yesterday, good morning everyone
I left 20 mins early for work so i can pop into the shop for breakfast.... Apparently they decided to do road works at rush hour on the only road through to the city. WHY THE FUCK COULD THEY NOT WAIT TILL ABOUT 10AM WHEN IT IS NOT RUSH HOUR.
I was 15 mins late for work and i'm sitting here hungry as fuck.
Yet more people getting onto me about that pedantic 'JIF' v 'GIF' argument. I've decided that my go-to rebuttal from now on is to ask them what the capital of Poland is; it's Warsaw. And through it runs the largest river in Poland; the Vistula. But many years ago, something like this happened: A man stood on a hill overlooking a trade town next to a large river and said "I will name this town Varshava, on the banks of the mighty Veeswa." Though of course it wouldn't have happened quite like that, and maybe the name came before the town. The founders said it 'Varshava', but we call it Warsaw. We anglicised it and made it our own. We don't give a shit what the founders called it, because we call it Warsaw, and we always have; that's pretty much what the word looks like to us. Warszawa. It's inconsequential to us what they call it in Polish. We call it Warsaw, and there isn't any argument about that.
