A friend of mine played competitive Call of Duty on MW1/2 on the Xbox. Using a mouse and keyboard (which i think was possible on both the Xbox and the PS3) was considered cheating. They used to have a project at micrsoft to roll out Xbox vs PC networking on Games for Windows Live platforms, but they canceled it because while various developers/games had given it a try, the balancing Controllers vs a Mouse+Keyboard was a significant problem.

I've seen players who are better with controllers than keyboards, like people who are better with touchpads than mice. If someone wants a console experience and they're decent with controllers then I don't see why they couldn't use a controller. I was a console gamer virtually all my life, first fps I played on PC was Counter-Strike and I used a controller so I could get used to the feel of the game while being comfortable about it. I was shit at keyboard controls so of course I used my Xbox 360 controller instead. You seriously don't have to be an ass if you disagree with something, just say why you disagree and you'll get a better point across without looking awful.

Controllers are great for 2d games and racing games. Awful for everything else.

Like I don't understand why people here can't actually form a nice argument while at the same time trying to avoid drama in the thread. I don't know why people think I deserve being flamed like this. I say something that doesn't offend anyone, but people disagree with and they just resort to insults. I honestly wouldn't care if it was any other thread, but the gay chat really gets me honestly. The gay chat thread is full of people who can't discuss things with other people without fear of persecution by bigots. It's fucking irony in itself when a group of people who are usually put down by certain people of society are putting down some other kid who is trying to fit in because he can't fit in anywhere else because of his sexual orientation. It does make me sad when people say things like this. What do you expect me to do, flame back and start drama? No, people blame me for drama at the end or just call me out for "feeding the troll". But anyways I don't even have the energy to flame back. All that energy is just converted into anxiety so I just make long posts like these trying to explain what I'm feeling right now but that doesn't seem to work because it keeps happening. Honestly I feel like I'm going to cry right now. I'm a grown fucking man on an internet form who is about to cry.
