You might die
Rip in pepperoni

I always get a stick of pepperoni in my stocking every year on Christmas. Being carnivorous is a good feeling.
Nobody drinks energy drinks for the flavor.
As a student, coffee is one of the main things keeping me going from collapsing.
Anyway video on coffee:

Hi the reason I drink Monster Energy is actually because it tastes really good
I hate drinking it because of how unhealthy the energy boost is
Nobody except roflburger drinks energy drinks for the flavor.

Nah I too enjoy the taste of them, although I do understand to some the taste can be bitter and unpleasant.
Also I haven't posted here in a while, hey everyone.
This sounds good. Now to find a good coffee shop in the city! :v:
I don't want to do something like Starbucks, but all the coffee shops I've found nearby are the organic, ultra hipster GMO-free 500-different-variants of coffee stuff and I don't know anything about coffee. There's a wonderful coffee shop in town everyone raves about but it'd be a 35 minute drive for him.
I got the same advice too. Same with dinner, too serious.
IHOP for Subway are the perfect platonic places to go, in my experience.
"hey wanna grab some ihop" "howbout ihop on you instead "
Definitely not platonic.
new wow expansion tonight aww yiss....well except for the fact it doesn't release until 3 am est :/
I have my ticket to see Obama talk but I am not allowed to take a photo of it.
From the looks of things it will be a massive hall kinda thing with no seats and just standing.

they're not letting you take pics? that's wank.
when i went to see him, secret service had no qualms with me waltzing in with a DSLR.
Chai lattes are pretty good.

I will be allowed photos when I am there but I can't take a photo of my ticket I guess for reasonable reasons. Normally I would post a picture of that kind of thing.
so i started playing pathfinder with my boyfriends group
im just like "my goal is to be a lich so i can be an op motherfucker" to him privately, i also went on to say i hope the dm wont get mad af at that
turns out the dm did that last time he was a PC, oh boy this is gonna be fun
also the paladin of the group is an absolute cunt, hes a cool dude irl but hes just immediately "detect evil, i steal all his shit"
since my boyfriend is also secretly playing a lawful evil character thats trying to become a hellknight commander we are just like "so how long til we team up ingame and fuck the paladin up"
"soon"
This sounds way better than any of my dnd experiences. Character was always secondary to 'what's the most sexist racist thing we can say in this situation for funnies?" I didn't really enjoy them beyond the mechanics and rolling mah dice. And our dms were always one of my brothers or I and we are way too serious when it comes to checks and stuff so any kind of convincing or intimidating or bluffing was always to a person who was super switched on making those skills essentially useless.
Problem is when I played a game with my older sister who has been doing this kind of thing for years it was really difficult to keep up with her character role play. Like it was kinda intimidating how well she could do it which just left me floundering and hardly engaging in what should have been my first decent experience with the game.

Also best RPG (pen and paper) I have ever played was GURPS it was seriously amazing the way the GM set up the campaign and how the story shifted around my actions and everything just worked.
Lately I've been feeling rather weird. Like, I feel ready to love. And to be happy. It's hard to explain
I just cried to Big Yellow Taxi. It's weird that song used to be fun; now I have had a very distinctly upsetting "don't know what you've got 'till it's gone" moment and it just resurged back into my mind as soon as the lyric was sung and then tears yay. :\

man my DM's brother once played a really shitty monk, who hardly did any damage and was whimpy all around
but when their party got to the big bad evil guy, he just pointed at him and hit the dude with two disintegrates in a row, and revealed that the whole time he was a wizard and became a lich with the rest of the party having no idea that this happened

oh i'm sorry, i misinterpreted what you said! i was in the middle of a raid when i originally read that :v:
Just so you people know, there's a new Steam virus thing going on. Don't click any screen-pictures (dot) com links.
Just so you people know, there's a new Steam virus thing going on. Don't click any screen-pictures (dot) com links.
elaborate, can you also pm me the link?
Why would i send you a virus? Any screen-pictures url is malicious.
Why would i send you a virus? Any screen-pictures url is malicious.
because clicking a url can't just magically infect a system unless there's a javascript vulnerability, and if it's a java applet or something, you have to approve it before it's ran. i'm legitimately interested and would like to find out more about it and how it works, as well as what it actually does.
screen-pictures (dot) com redirects to a google doc file export

I also apologize for starting an 80+ post coffee war!
yeah i can understand that, the group doesnt do a lot of the rp stuff, like they ~do~ to an extent but its not the stupid levels that a lot of people do
its just great that the DM is apparently the exact as me, in terms of we like to break the game
man, becoming a lich is so fuckin hard in pathfinder
basically the DM makes you fuck about for ages researching how your soul will handle being placed in your phylactery, and even at the end of if unless you roll high you are either going to go insane or die
basically you need 15+ to survive becoming a lich, im like 8 levels away from being able to make the phylactery so it wont be for ages but yeah, its a nice character story, and having buddy cop shenanigans with a hell knight commander is gonna be fun, fucking undead army with devils as their generals.
The pathfinder way sounds a lot more flavorful than 3.5's version, where you just need to have enough money and make the actual magic item, and they allude to rituals that a good DM would have a player actually have to play out.
Personally, I loooove dry liches, which are basically a more mummy-ish version and have the major downside that all water acts like holy water to them.
Pathfinder has a lot of cool stuff, but I'm pretty biased towards 3.5 since I have most of the books memorized and they have Eberron, which is the best setting right next to Darksun. If I had any ounce of DMing talent in me, I'd be really tempted to try out something like Game of Thrones. Have all the players make their characters far away and separate, and have one on one sessions up until a certain point when they meet up, if they meet up at all.
I used to like breaking the game too, but ever since I accidentally overshadowed the whole party during a rushed boss fight (as in kicked the BBEG's ass, AND his hellfire wyrm cohort at the same time) I've drawn back a bit and have been trying to just be a better roleplayer in general, and have realistic and interesting characters.
Every now and then I think, "Goddamn, this image I have would be fucking perfect and hilarious as a reply to this post", despite knowing it will get me banned as an image macro if I post it. I then judge if the post/thread is worth getting banned for and how long the ban will likely be considering my ban history/age of account.

Here's the Reddit Coffee Map! https://mapsengine.google.com/map/u/0/viewer?mid=z7TykTKAjwDM.k5W5TRmAXOy8
Keep in mind its still missing loads of places (google maps limits to only a thousand POI's for free maps). But pretty much every spot on that map is going to be a guaranteed quality 3rd Wave coffee shop/roaster - the really good places.
3rd wave refers to the recent wave of interest in quality/artisan coffee making.
1st wave = the advent of diners serving coffee, automatic drip makers becoming common in homes, etc. The first real widespread acceptance of coffee. Early/mid 20th century to the 90's, pretty much.
2nd wave = advent of places like starbucks becoming widespread. AKA bringing awareness of espresso drinks to your average person, dedicated coffee shops, etc.
3rd wave = an interest in artisan coffee making, making "true" espresso drinks, tasting flavor notes in coffee, small business coffee bars ran by professional coffee baristas in pursuit of creating the best cup possible.
Everyone has a first time. I'd look up a guide on what to order at a coffee shop to get your feet wet and don't be afraid to ask. Most of the time baristas LOVE filling people in about their favorite craft, assuming they are good. There are some really cliquey baristas out there but most shouldn't be that bad. Keep in mind a lot of 3rd wave shop won't sell stuff like frappuchinos, and many don't sell tea (though a good handful do). The most starbucks-like thing on the menu would be a Cafe Mocha, which is basically a latte and chocolate.
me and my boyfriend have gotten into some pretty neat talks about shit we are planning to do, i mean its probably not the best thing to conspire outside of the group and plan it out but yeah
like i have "enlarge person, mass" so i'm gonna be raising dead, turning them into giants and making an army. my boyfriend is becoming a hell knight commander in the order of the gate, so he's going to be summoning powerful as shit devils to essentially attempt to command my giant undead.
we arent chaotic evil, we arent going to wreck towns, but its just cool as shit to have a devil/undead army
theres a party agreement which basically means if you sign the blood oath you cant make an action that harms the group, seeing as how myself and my boyfriend are basically everything a paladin hates its going to be hilarious to see how his character reacts
Enlarge Person only works on humanoids in 3.5, miiiight be the same in pathfinder, but yeah conflicts are what make the game really fun. Just be careful that the player is alright with it, a while ago one of the guys in my group chose to play an evil outsider, and ended up ruining our enjoyment and wiping us.

Actually that's a nice idea. Next time I go on a first date I will try a proper coffee or whatevs for the first time and let the other person know. It will be fun. Mind you last time I did something like that I was drinking a Corona for the first time and it was foul so I kept wincing whenever I drank it and he got quiittee annoyed by it.
