As someone who isn't trans and doesn't really have any intentions of being trans, I've learned to not judge people as to why they are. I don't know what gender dysphoria feels like...so I'm not gonna tell people the reasons they decide to transition aren't valid. Because, at the end of the day, changing your gender is...kind of a really fucking big deal

I truly believe there are some people out there that honestly delude themselves into believing they have it or pretend to have it because it's the next taboo thing to be. Although a lot of trans people on tumblr are usually those who fall under a different term of the umbrella. I'd also love to point out that all the effects of HRT are reversible if one stops taking them in a month, and that a majority of the effects are reversible anyway. There is literally nothing wrong with someone searching for what makes them happiest, and certainly nothing wrong with folks detransitioning if they wish. DIY is incredibly dangerous though if one isn't getting regular bloodtests, but for many people it's either that or nothing at all.
