I was a bit dissapointed by 5 tbh. Not a fan of the way you get basically no money to spend until near/the actual end of the game. Also didn't like the writing at times but that's a bit more complicated.

i could talk for hours about gta and i have in this thread. Best gta hands down is still Vice City. Why? It's GTA III with a slightly tweaked engine, newer effects, tweaked basic gameplay from 3, and a good story that really does a choice job of parodying 1980's miami. Personally i think gta sa is the worst in the series, counting the originals and all the gta games except advanced. Too much going on, they tried too hard to go for the crazy aspect which im thankful they ditched and left to saint's row. Still fun but easily my least favorite gta v i was very disappointed in but still love it, a lot of aspects i was disappointed with they fixed in the current gen edition. Specifically it was characterization and the story that bothered me the most because the character development in V is absolutely terrible. There was better characterization in gta iii for god's sake.

Sucks since I kinda wanna play it properly

It allows you to carry your weapons in, making the mission super easy.

This talk of Vice City made me get it for Android. Turns out it doesn't work with Lollipop, so I got a refund. Shame, really.

I also found the story one of the most coherent in the series but I've also played it the most so I probably just know it the best. I keep trying to get into Vice City, but I just can't, at least story wise. The actual setting and such is superb though.
