Ugh... Sick... Halp :c
Get a lot of rest and imbibe plenty of fluids. Preferably water.
My first build took me like an hour to put together. And I had no knowledge of any of the plugs. I just followed a few diagrams and plug shapes to put it together. Now it takes me like 20 minutes at most to throw a computer together from parts and screws. I can walk you through it Rex, if you ever want help on it.
Cool, I've been thinking of upgrading a few components and stuff. Thanks for the offer.
GPU sort of died, I think it's finally time to switch over to a slightly newer one. Found a GTX 570 for $100, same price as mine was when it was new.
be sure to pick up metal gear rising too
I know it's bad, but it literally saddens me when people buy prebuilt out of lack of effort :(
I usually buy prebuilt computers because I'd much rather have a computer that comes down and works out of the box. Coupled with the fact that you can usually get a one or two year warranty in case any components fail, it's usually much easier (and hardly more expensive). A new computer that I've ordered (and should be here next week) is only around £50 more than if I were to buy each of the parts separately and assemble them myself. Of course, it's different for everyone else though.

Or you can start out and make a custom computer, it'll do things better and should last maybe a couple more years than a pre-built before you need to upgrade.
Prebuilts can be typically cheaper due to parts ordered in bulk. And you don't spend hours building a PC, which isn't actually fun.
This is incorrect. I have helped several people builds PC, ranging from users in this very thread to own family members. If you can save money by buying a prebuilt pc then you don't know how to shop for individual pc parts. On many occasions i've even cross tested this by finding prebuilt pc's and individually pricing parts and on average could save 10 dollars or more, WITH SHIPPING INCLUDED, than if i bought a prebuilt, and you retain the individual warranties on each part and save even more money from mail in rebates. I reiterate, if you find it's cheaper to buy a prebuilt instead of buying the individual parts in the rig, you're not shopping correctly. And, from own experience if a part failed i would have to send the WHOLE computer back, because apparently the companies didn't like the idea of sending in just the part that's broken. To this day im constantly upgrading individual parts, like 2 months ago upgraded my mobo and and cpu. I'm buying a new sound card next week for christmas due tot he fact that i couldn't find any mobos with the proper socket type that would also support my old sound card. I know when i had two 560's around i was selling them at 50% value at $100 each barely used. A 570 for 100 is a steal.
Prebuilts can be typically cheaper due to parts ordered in bulk.
I worked at a company that made prebuilts, with companies like dell, there's an illusion of value due to using a lot of low quality parts, like unbranded PSU's, RAm etc.
oh man, when i first bought my prebuilt it had the shittiest PSU in it despite being a "high end" prebuilt. It was like 400 watts and had barely enough power for the parts that were in it with no dedicated 12vrail
this shitty prebuilt had the gall to cost £2200 when it was new they also lied about the parts it included like 2 gb of ram instead of 4 as advertised and a dual core cpu instead of quad my new rig is gonna cost 800 and completely fucking blows it out the water fuck prebuilts
Sometimes I feel FP should just have a straight up thread for furries.
DON'T start this again.
Sometimes I feel FP should just have a straight up thread for furries.
I think they did, but it failed.
It's been explained a million goddamn times why there never will or should be a furry thread. It's simple. Same reason why most 'fandom' threads aren't allowed. Nothing but drama and fucked up shit.
Sometimes I feel FP should just have a straight up thread for furries.
To be fair, this place is practically furry chat a good 45-55% of the time
To be fair, this place is practically furry chat a good 45-55% of the time
Not really. Like, a good chunk of people here are furries, but most of the time, no one really brings attention to it unless it's to start shit or to question it.
Tacky. Looks more like Chode Palace to me.
Are those cacti balls?
That'll stop the pesky gardener copping a feel of your garden.
But the bushes will never get the love they need. It'd turn into an unruly, untrimmed bush.
That's why Humanity invented the flamethrower! Those plants think twice about being unruly and they'll look nice being torched! :v:
What makes a guy tired right afterwards?
playing videogames all day
Motherboard in my PC died, can't do any work at all. I have nothing to do
What makes a guy tired right afterwards?
Sleeping too much? We can play guessing games all day.
Motherboard in my PC died, can't do any work at all. I have nothing to do
Welcome to me for all of last December. I know exactly how you feel.
Welcome to me for all of last December. I know exactly how you feel.
I'm just really gutted because I don't know the specific reason why, though I tested each part with known working ones and everything but the motherboard worked. Right now I can't afford to buy a new mobo and CPU, but I'm having talks with having a friend's parts. Kinda getting bored of playing Xbox games as well.
