Same, I have no idea how I can suck so much at RTS, but when it comes to turn based strategy I'm really good.

I remember playing Heroes of Might and Magic 3 online against another human, I had a scout sent out just to cover the map. The scout only had 1 gremlin (tier 1 creature) until I see my enemy waltz out of his castle with his entire army, going in the opposite direction.

I swiftly take over his castle, recruit the only things he had left to recruit (18 skeletons, also tier 1 creatures) and he notices me, so on his next turn he comes to claim his castle back. Using what little magic my scout knew, and utilizing his own castle's defenses against his army which composed of about 480 creatures of all assorted tiers, I managed to beat him. The battle lasted about half an hour, and I had 1 surviving gremlin left to my scout's name. :v:

If you like the looks of it, you could always play the predecessor called Lugaru. There's a HD version on Steam.

It's very low budget and short, but satisfying.
