I was reading the BBC news when my Irish nan came in and asked why I read news on the computer.

In her opinion, reading it in a newspaper is better because there you can read peoples arguments. She said "surely you don't get those on the internet?"

Over Christmas our shop will be open until 10 oclock at night, I think I mentioned this earlier.

That was fine by me, as long as the 10 oclock finishes were shared around. I got told today that I was going to have to do all of them because the other guy who closes was on holidays.

This upset me, but pissed my dad the fuck off. He stormed down to the shop and told the manager I'm not doing them, and that it's unfair.

Apparently it worked, because I'm getting calls asking if I don't want to do any of the 10 oclock finishes at all :v:

Being honest it's fucking retarded keeping your type of store open until 10. All it does is promote drunks to come in.

It does. Where we are positioned, there is a second liquor shop literally next door. They got robbed 10 times in one year iirc.

I would have turned that into learning time, showed her how the internet brings together arguments from everyone in the world

Of course, I didn't get any of that thermal paste stuff so I can't go ahead with it without buying some. Got absolutely nowhere.

God I just want my friend to help me, he already has all this shit but keeps ignoring me.
