So I'm drinking Stout (Guiness) and Scotch (Ardberg whiskey, single malt) right now. Both are what people would consider "aquired tastes" and I suddenly started liking them about 6 months ago since they're what we had on hand while camping on a remote Scottish island. When people say "aquired taste" what they mean isn't that you have to keep drinking them until you like them, rather your palette changes as you age and becomes more accustomed to sensing subtle flavours and textures that compliment the base taste. Not to mention it also goes down easier than overly sweet cider drinks that make you feel sick after 2 sips. If I'm going to drink cider it'll be something very dry like Old Rosie or Burrow Hill cider.
Guinness is shite outside of the greater Dublin area and even then it's usually been sitting around for a few days. Straight from Templebar/Central Dublin is the best place to get it.
I like drinking cider over any other alcohol.

Most of my stout drinking is at a local pub where some locally brewed stuff is £1.53(!!!!!) a pint.

Guinness is supposed to be served at cellar temperature! Related point - if a beer's selling point is how cold it is e.g. Coors, it's because they want you to drink it cold so you don't discover how awful it actually tastes http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=fLj9UOAWZM4
A properly cold drink is damn refreshing though. There's a reason to keep your spirits in the freezer.

The fact that I've been watching a cartoon deer move it's backside around for almost 10 minutes disturbs me a bit.

If you tried to take molly every day you'd be like, dead.
If you tried to take molly every day you'd be like, dead.
Or psychotic, bipolar and/or clinically depressed. All those unnaturally high levels of dopamine rushing to your brain then rapidly disappearing will make you hit rock bottom hard.
I'm kinda late for the "what did you do on christmas crowd". Christmas eve I didn't really do much. Just slept a lot and went on the computer. I tried sleeping the night-of-xmas-eve/morning-of-xmasday but failed, probably because insomnia and excitedness. I just kinda tossed and turned for 8 hours with a lot of stuff on my mind. Christmas noon was when we left for the family gathering party. It played out like any other family gathering, around 20 of my extended (families of my grandmas kids) cram into my grandmas house and talk for a few hours, eat a lot of food, get gifts, and play a game or 2. It was fine, my sleep deprivation mostly faded away as it got later in the night. I got a warm sweater, a compression shirt for working out, a cool tshirt with Einstein smoking the universe on it, lots of candy, 30$ in target gift cards, and 90$ in cash. After the party me and one of my brothers went to my other brothers house. I just kinda sat there watching 2 drunk childhood buddies playing madden until 2am. Then me and brother and old roommate went back home. Brother went to sleep right away. Me and roommate stay up playing pc games and getting high until 7am. I didn't sleep for over two days at this point in time. Then I went to sleep and slept through a phase of various nightmares and I woke up a little bit ago. 12 hours of sleep, a miracle. Just an average christmas. I'm usually more excited for new years. [editline]26th December 2013[/editline] I'm really trying to avoid the mountain of cookies upstairs. Since we're the poorest family of my grandmas 4 kids we're always the ones who get christmas leftovers. I'm trying to start dieting and a little working out. I'm certain the major reason I've had sleeping issues lately is because of weight gain. I normally sleep on my belly, but my belly has slowly been gaining a little girth, so back pains develop more and more as my back is sorta twisted worse from it.
Honestly I spent Christmas eve eating hot-dogs and watching episodes of Arrow. :v

Get a good pattern going for a few days to reset your body clock (it takes a week or so, think jet lag) and you'll sleep fine.
Does anyone else start to lightly caress themselves when they're sleepy or when they're about to sleep? I don't mean in a sexual way. I mean, just lightly tickling yourself. I need to know that I'm not the only one who does this and am not weird for it.
New Years this year is gonna be sick for me. I get to go to Monterey for the First Night festival. I was more looking forward to that than Christmas, honestly.
I think I might be fired from work. I mentioned earlier I was needing to close at 10 for Christmas and New Years. Which in a liquor shop is basically asking for me to be robbed. Well I got rung up this morning. Once again, the useless friend of the boss that was hired to replace my brother can't finish her shift and I have to start early and finish late to suit her. I ended up telling the boss, politely worded since I'm not a dick, that I will finish at 9 pm or he can fire me. And that I was tired of having to fill in for his friend constantly. He hasn't said anything back yet, and it's stressing me out. But I think if I get fired I can do a whole lot better than working for someone that hires his useless friends and puts all the shit they can't do onto me.
I almost got fired yesterday over the tiniest incident, I certainly hope you keep your job.
I don't want the job though. It was fine until the boss hired his friend. She can't lift heavy things, and she can't do closing. In a liquor shop, with alot of heavy lifting and out of fairness with the late finishes, you wouldn't hire someone like that would you? But the boss did because she used to work with him. And I got the shit end of the deal filling in for her. And the boss' other friend that was hired, but actually does an alright job, went on holidays for 2 weeks. I should stress it's not this one shift change that has pissed me off so much. It's that since my brother was fired and she was hired she leaves the shop unstocked, has barely finished afull shift without going home early for some reason, and every time she does go home early I am called to go in for her and do everything she didn't. It's ridiculously unfair, they should have hired a brick wall. It would do more work than she would.
I know, but it's better to go job searching and try to find a job you can quickly swap over into before quitting/possibly getting fired. I would know, I quit my last job a year ago hoping to get straight into another job, and ended up job hunting for seven months [editline]27th December 2013[/editline] Unless it's easy to get work there, in which case disregard me

I'd like to clean houses personally.
I can probably get a job fairly quickly,
well good, that's what matters
Im addicted to BF4 help http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/battlereport/show/2/416347021611536832/387411298/ This is my favorite recent match. I was in an AA gun. I shot down the enemy heli 4 times and killed 4 players trying to get onto the highway. I pretty much defended to entire bomb site with an AA gun. At one point an APC came and made me go off the bride, I got stuck in a hallway and just sat there until the match ended which was like 3 minutes after.
If you tried to take molly every day you'd be like, dead.
I'm not disputing that (my mate pretty much fried her brain from a 3 month heavy using binge) but you shouldn't do any recreational drug every day. If you're smoking weed, snorting coke or getting shitfaced every day, you've probably got some issues there [editline]27th December 2013[/editline]
I think I might be fired from work.
I hate that situation. Do you have a notice period? Quitting might be better than getting fired
I'm not sure really. I was told that since I don't have another job, if I just quit then the government would lay shit on top of me for quitting what they see as a perfectly fine job. I was told it's better to be fired than to quit, or quit if you have a job lined up already.
I smoke weed every day mainly because I have preexisting issues that are made easier to deal with using weed. Medical marijuana is pretty legit for some people.
