My 14-year old dog was just put down; she was having alot of problems walking and moving and was always really tense the past two weeks or so. She was a miniature schnauzer so I guess it was going to happen pretty soon anyway :(.

I suggested we have a relaxing day because I/we have gone out and visiting literally every day that we've been up in New York.
So instead, almost the entire family decides to plan to go out to Manhattan and see the city and is forcing me to come along. And of course I get the stink eye and I get yelled at for even suggesting that I might stay back.
I'm so sick of this fuckin' family and their ignorance and fighting and just everything.
I am definitely never coming back up here to visit them again.

Ouch. That really sucks, dude. I've been here many times and it never gets any easier. Sadly, it's just an inevitability. Just be thankful that you had her and got to spend as much time as you did with her, and that her suffering is now over. It's always been how I cope.

Woo, got my SSD installed with windows 8 on it :D

Now time to migrate my current windows install over. This is going to be a bitch and about a weeks worth of downloading, I think.

Is it possible to install stuff over my current hard drives or do I need to reformat them to use them for windows 8?

I.E. say I have steam installed on D:/, can I boot into windows 8, and reinstall steam in windows 8 using the same location and pretty much have everything be the same as it is now for steam?

BETTER YET just plug in some king of registry thing to say that steam is there so I don't even need to run installers for everything (repeat X10000 for all my programs)?
