Capaldi is the first Doctor in a while that ever struck me as someone who legitimately looked like how I imagined The Doctor.
I'm pretty hype.
I might go to one of the London ones, I got some friends who say they're good fun.
I'm still catching up on Dr. Who because my brother introduced me to the series only recently.
Ohhh I bet I'll be annoyed when I run out of episodes.
annnd hello again
Closest fuzzy convention to me (lol Anthrocon) is ~3-5 hours away in Pittsburgh across the Turnpike. Can't say I'd want to go alone, so I doubt I'll be venturing over there any time soon.
That's pretty identical to me, given i'm in philadelphia.
I'm a terrible furry to begin with but i don't think i'll go to a con any time soon, not that i don't want to. I'm really curious. But i know if i went i'd probably end up in a state i'd rather not be in.
If you just go down I-76 west, it's hard to miss Pittsburgh. I'm in Harrisburg, myself. :v:
Oh no i know how to get there, as a philadelphian i natively hate pittsburgh and know exactly how to not go there, i just think i'd probably not enjoy it and consequently ruin a few things for myself.
I think I have a furcon thing that happens in Melbourne every year, but still it'd be mega awkward for me to go.

why
No idea, I guess it's just a weird concept to me, when it probably shouldn't be.

That would be confurgence. Biggest one in Australia, I am going to it in January, will be the first time I've seen a city in Australia that isn't Perth.
Sorry about continuing, I'll stop.
Ow, stomach ache at 20 past 4 in the morning isn't fun.
Jokes on you though stomach because I'm about to sleep! :v:
This is a chat were (mostly) LGBT people talk about stuff, if that stuff happens to be furry stuff, so what? Multiple conversations can be happening at once and if people here like talking about furry stuff (large amount of furfags around here), who's to say no?
Doctor Who conversation:
David Tennant (and I might add perhaps the writing during his time as well contributed significantly) was so very good at being dark. There was a genuine belief that when he threatened to do something a little bit evil/vengeful he might well do it. Not because it was part of a larger plan but because there was that streak in him that makes having a companion so necessary to his sanity. That's how I felt. I won't forget that one episode with Donna Noble where he is electricuting (or whatever it is he is doing) the crazy spider lady or whatever and it isn't that he is killing her, the whole thing is collapsing she's going to die anyway, but he just stands there torturing her.
And then Donna says "Doctor! You can stop now."
And that is the easiest explanation I can give as to why the character of The Doctor is such a great one.
I remember there are several Matt Smith episodes where he's full on dramatic and all "No! I am evil now and I will kill this man! Blah blah" and I just think "Mhmm, sure ok, go on, do it, I dare you." And of course he never does.
To make this relevant for this thread and not for the Doctor Who thread: David Tennant is also pretty sexy.
guise stop i have a headache
