the most you'll usually get is an hour or two of delay and TSA gropings
I love flying in planes. As long as I get the window seat anywho.
Yay. After 14 days of roadtripping we are starting to head home! It's gonna take at least two days though :v:

I like flying in planes no matter where I am. Travelling I like in general. It's the bit in between the hard stuff where you have a clear goal and no responsibility.

Ye
[QUOTE=mysteryman;43415898]it honestly is.
I mean look at what i posted above, not ONE of those sandwiches are over 6 bucks and each are footlongs.
Subway has the 5 dollar footlongs, but that's only if you order it directly from the menu and it has to be a specific sandwich. Add some cucumbers and hot peppers to that bitch and bam, that five dollar footlong is now nearly 7 bucks, for the sandwich alone.
[editline]4th January 2014[/editline]
Where i'm at, i can go to a food truck and get better tasting food for less than $5 and that five bucks comes with a drink.
For 5 bucks i can get a massive freshly made crepe with all sorts of fixings (like a greek crepe with gyro meat in it), and a drink.
Or i can get a large container of rice with lamb, chicken, and beef with a drink. Or i can get a cheesesteak and a drink, or a panini with a drink. I can go on and on.[/QUOTE]
I have no idea why your subway does that but every subway I've ever been to in america (and I've been to ones out west too), the $5 footlongs are $5 flat no matter what you put on em, as long as you don't double meat/cheese.
I mean its a pretty decent sandwich for $5 considering how much you get. I don't know a single place other than subway that gives you a footlong sub for $5. Sure the footlongs they have for $5 often kind of suck, but their monthly special for a $5 footlong is usually pretty decent. Every other sub place in our area and I've ever heard of, getting 10-12" subs will set you back at least $9-$10. Subway has always been $5 for me everytime I've been there no matter what I put on it (sans extra meat/cheese), and even less if you use coupons they regularly have in the mail.
That said, I don't eat at subway often because I only go there when I want something quick and a value-for-fullness-ratio. Especially since you pretty much need the footlongs to get a great bang for your buck there.
Best sub place? Penn Station hands down. They are expensive as fuck if you are getting the bigger subs, but usually cheaper than subway for the standard 6" ones. And dear god are they way tastier and much more filling.

just gotta watch out for their cookies. They are easily the best cookies I've ever had from a casual dining joint. Shame each one has more calories than a big mac...

Shaws deli subs are the bomb, and their bakery cookies are incredibly wicked.

Flying in planes is fun until you sit in the middle aisle seat in coach in between two people you don't even know on a transatlantic flight for almost 10 hours overnight when you can't sleep at all and you're sweating and feeling sick like hell the whole flight...
...and then you immediately get off and then it turns out the director of the tour group you're on decided that your group isn't going back to the hotel to freshen up or anything so you have to go through the whole day on maybe 15 minutes of sleep in sweat-drenched clothing feeling incredibly sick. Urgh

It's pretty difficult to chase down troops in Mount & Blade: Warband.

Yeah, but it was school sponsored and it was probably the only chance I'd get to see even part of Europe for decades, possibly even my whole life.

that place reminds me of charlies. Those sandwiches are okay but honestly it bothers me that they all use that kind of bread.
Where i'm from the bread is usually more important than the inside and that's not a joke. For some reason we take the rolls really seriously, probably because the bread can make all the difference.

I'm right there with ya. We were scheduled to leave tomorrow and they moved it to Wednesday, and to make things even better, instead of going straight to Newark, the Wednesday flight stops over a Houston. The weather in NJ shows rain/sleet, and that must be enough to cancel flights a day in advance.
Sitting here with my mom now trying to find another flight.
Fun fun.
[editline]4th January 2014[/editline]
The only flight we can get is $3200 because United won't allow us to switch our flight since we used points. Fuck us.

Going back to the topic earlier:
The anonymity and the ability to spend as long as you need to reply makes taking online a lot easier. There are only a few people I know IRL who I'd talk to as openly as I do online. They're all people I met on the internet so I guess that's got something to do with it.
