Just gave a talk on unusual photographic composition in front of about 60 people for fun, using mostly my own images. Proud of myself [editline]17th January 2014[/editline]
Nice. I wanted to get into photography. Any tips for a beginner?
I'd say before you take the picture or afterwards look at it and think if it's interesting to anyone but yourself. Basically, think about the photograph from an external perspective and think whether or not you'd be interested in it. Also at Concentrate on composition over subject.
Shoot with whatever you have, even if it's a phone
Its my birthday, woohoo~
My optometrist offered me contact lenses but I was like "Nah I wanna look good."
Oh cool. My cousin finally uploaded the video of our hookah session the other week. He edited me out of it though because my rings are terrible. But I guess this gives you all sort of an idea of what I occasionally do on my freetime.
Smoke rings get ridiculously to blow easy as soon as you figure out a basic trick.
Ew, tobacco.
I'd smoke a lot less tobacco if weed were more accessible. Hell, I'd quit cigarettes entirely. :U
There's always craigs list.
But I can't go to 7/11 and buy a sack. :C Not unless I know the right people, at least...
Today was a good day. I think I'm starting to beat back this silly social anxiety crap that's been pooping on me for a while. Impending liberation feels awesome.
I've smoked cigarettes before and I honestly don't get the appeal. I hate the taste and I almost never get a head rush from them.
We went out this morning to look for a used car to replace our aging station wagon. We ended up coming home with down payments on a newer station wagon and a first car for me. I'm very excited.
I've smoked cigarettes before and I honestly don't get the appeal. However weed does a better job of calming me down and doesn't make me feel like shit afterward. But cigarettes are the only one that's legal, so what are you gonna do?
nothing more soothing than slowly killing yourself
I have a Gabriel Iglesias type of an outlook on life. "Don't you want to be healthy and live long?" "I don't want to live long if I can't eat tacos."
Yeah except your life won't be enjoyable if you're stuck in a hospital with lung cancer
Which is why I don't plan on smoking cigarettes my entire life. I'm not too worried about the lack of longevity that smoking for a couple years can bring, but I would like to avoid being hooked up to a respirator for the rest of my life.
Nobody plans to smoke their whole lives though. They just get addicted.
Yes, but only someone who doesn't want to quit doesn't quit.
I don't think you get how hard it is to quit smoking. I know people who have been trying to do it for years and the cravings just get so much, they can't quit.
I don't think you get how hard it is to quit smoking. All I've ever smoked tobacco wise was a Cuban cigar. It was quite nice.
Yes, quitting cigarettes is hard. However, it's not impossible. It takes willpower. I already don't like cigarettes very much, they're just what I have to satiate my anxiety at times. As soon as I feel I don't need them or I have a better alternative, they're gone.
If someone wants to smoke cigarettes until they die who are we to stop them.
If someone wants to smoke cigarettes until they die who are we to stop them.
Their friends.
Yes, but only someone who doesn't want to quit doesn't quit.
Yeah you can quit whenever you want, right? :P [editline]18th January 2014[/editline] Cigs also make you stink and not realise it. Even if you think you're not stinky or you think your place isn't stinking, someone who doesn't smoke can tell and it's gross. [editline]18th January 2014[/editline]
If someone wants to smoke cigarettes until they die who are we to stop them.
If I had a friend who was going to die because of it or it was being greatly accelerated because of smoking I'd be like "dude what the fuck are you doing?".
But I can't go to 7/11 and buy a sack. :C Not unless I know the right people, at least...
Usually its cheaper to buy in bulk, and if I can smoke an ounce in a month then I'll pin a medal on you. And you can bake them into cookies and cake :p
Yeah you can quit whenever you want, right? :P
Whenever I want? No. Can I do it in time? Yes. In fact, I'm working on it right now. Yes, I do still smoke, but I've cut down a lot. I can go multiple days without a cigarette now and be just fine. My time with cigarettes is almost at an end, but it's not like I quit cold turkey.
Just thinking of it, why is this stuff banned anyways? Particularly weed because we know some other stuff such as cocaine is a terrible idea.
I find it hard to argue that booze is a better idea than weed, personally.
