Oh my goodness! I don't have school tomorrow, first ever snow day! It's not even going to snow! :v:!
Maybe its because of the temperatures like they had over here in Chicago. Its been as low as -40 with the lake breeze apparently!

Just ordered a new video card :3 should get here on thurs
excite mode
Wow the one day I'm allowed to sleep in and my body screams at me
FUCK YOU YOU LAZY LIL SHIT YOU NEED THIS SLEEP BUT YOU'RE GETTING UP AT 5AM DEAL WITH IT NERD
my eyes look all bloodshot :v:
its not even a derogatory statement at this point
a standard greeting upon entering the room is "sup faggot" "sup gaylord"
I've been called a faggot by dozens of people I don't know, ie; passerby's, classmates, etc, and I'll have you know that I do find it to be a derogatory statement. It's a lot different when you're fucking around with friends as apposed to having slurs slung at you because of the way you dress, act, or talk.
[editline]s[/editline]
that's like calling a mentally-handicapped person retarded and then being all like "oh no its ok to call that person retarded because the meaning of the term has dumbed down so much over the years"
Yesterday was the first time I slept after about a week. Yay.
Even so I went to sleep at 3 AM to actually get sleepy but woke up at 5.
My body hates me.

That's me every day for the past 2 years. Usually because I wake up incredibly dehydrated after 3 hours of sleep. Try to go back to sleep, wake up two hours later insanely thirsty again.

Where do you even live where random people go around calling strangers faggots without it being their last words
[editline]28th January 2014[/editline]
That just seems impolite

Additionally using it as a joke seems ok because you know you're joking but if you use it with someone who actually turns out to be homophobic, whilst everyone else is going haha what a funny word but we don't mean it badly, the homophobic guy/gal is thinking that it's only right to call them that because they're being like a homosexual and that's bad.
tl;dr it re-enforces homophobia even if you use it as a joke. It's the same thing with any other form of discrimination as a joke, just because you know you're joking doesn't mean everyone else does.
Not that I can talk I make gay jokes too.

Where I live, it's thrown around a lot.
So are other prejudice terms.

Well yeah, but I would imagine if someone just ran around calling strangers faggots they'd get dragged into an alley and mugged around here so I've never seen someone do that
although inbetween friends it happens a lot

Connecticut, so basically the middle of nowhere. Kids can say it freely because usually nobody is around to stop them or say anything about it. I happen to live in a fairly conservative part of CT which doesn't help.

It TN, you'll be applauded for it.
If the parents are there when the kid says it, they'll lambast them on the spot, take them home, and give them a pat on the back for doing it.
It's not a good thing that I can barely remember anything from school but I can easily remember my very first game on Halo PC Online in like 2006 or something.
That was a very long time ago now I think about it.

I would assume in such places that if you call a non-faggot a faggot you have a problem though
Mysterious has never had Bacon Pancakes before
everyone should tell him to eat bacon pancakes asap

Well faggot is just thrown around to anyone here as an insult ad nauseum.
But any time someone calls a known gay person a faggot or bullies them in any way because of it, it's seen as an act of heroism.

maybe it wasn't clear from the wording, but tomorrow will be mid 30s here in North Florida :v
I just walked 12 miles today and I'm so fucking exhausted uuugh.
I just walked 12 miles today and I'm so fucking exhausted uuugh.
only 12? lets run 12 more, HUP TWO HUP TWO HUP TWO
The longest I've walked is about 10km from my old high school to home.
I always get the urge to jog during december-feburary, I just love jogging in the snow.
Am I weird yet?

Most of the world, and most of the US, is still homophobic in case you haven't noticed.

I choke walking outside when its this cold. I'd be dead if I jogged.
Weather like this reminds of me when I used to competitively row. Those were some fun times.
I hate running in the summer, it's so miserable and the heat saps moisture from you, late autumn/winter running is a lot better.
Running when it's hot really sucks, but sweating into a jacket sucks even more.
Doing anything physical when it's too hot is horrible. Going outside when it's fucking cold is horrible too.
Autumn/Spring has it best on good days where it's not raining for those kind of activities.
Running when it's hot really sucks, but sweating into a jacket sucks even more.
Why would you wear a jacket or anything like that while running? Unless you're jogging you can warm yourself up sufficiently just from the work. If it's below freezing you shouldn't be running outdoors in the first place.
