honestly though maybe i'm just a small person but i think bd products even at medium seem pretty large in person i guess the more use you get out of it it might feel less large but to someone who owns nothing of the sort (mostly because every last scrap of my free money goes into electronics) they seem rather daunting

I don't see the problem. Let people discuss what they want to discuss. If you're not comfortable with it, either start a new topic or wait until someone else does. The only kind of topics that should be avoided are ones that spiral into heated debate and drama, but otherwise just loosen up and go with the flow.

After watching the Bill Nye debate tonight, my interest in getting into a science field re-sparked. Not sure what field I'd ever get into if I did, probably something to do with astronomy or biology, but I might look into college courses some time tomorrow.

Well, that's what Bill Nye's specialty is. Teaching people to get excited for science. I learned more from Bill Nye in school than from most of my teachers.

We'd watch a Bill Nye video every other day in 8th grade, cuz our science teacher was too much of a wet blanket to get us enthused about anything :v:
