Led a photography hiking group today, had to turn away about 90% of the group half way through and send them back down because we were going to be out after the sunset and almost none of them brought flashlights like I said in the email organising the trip (also it should be common sense, do these people think there's streetlights up mountains?). I had to get my serious face on when telling people that we're not going for a stroll in the park at twilight and it will be pitch black, and thankfully more people left who had lied about having a flashlight. I don't know what I would have done if darkness fell and I got stuck with a large group of people in the middle of nowhere without a path with snow and water everywhere in boggy terrain. Edit: fixed some terrible spelling errors Also, it was a great trip anyway :) really enjoyed it, shame more people couldn't finish the walk. It's not really an artistic thing, I still have the full raw files, but the jpgs my camera makes look better in B&W, so I shoot B&W jpegs and if I want colour I just go edit the raw files. I've been drinking more water which seems to work though *fingers crossed*.
