Back from work. Gas station inspector came into our work before I left and said this was the best store he inspected on the outside so far for today. so wait, the big cable and internet companies basically have a monopoly over most other alternatives right (in the usa)? Or what? Internet service is such a big thing, why haven't thousands of cheapass internet companies cropped up all over trying to be better than elites like Comcast?

A significant portion of the current networking infrastructure was subsidized from the government to various telecom companies in the past, so it was relatively cheap to put down (for the companies). That, and the fact that current ISPs are actively trying to shut down any of the aforementioned cheapass internet upstarts. Think of all the new ISPs that have been successful; the only one is Google Fiber. Why? Because it's [I]Google[/I] and that's the only reason.

I find that doing the best job I can helps motivate me, and even more so when people compliment me about it.

I had like a ton of stuff planned to do before I go back to uni (Practise art, 3d sculpting and modelling etc). haven't even bothered to do any yet.

IPv6 is our future.
