This guy I was talking to on skype last night suddenly isn't talking anymore. Apparently he does this often, for no explained reason.
He probably just doesn't feel like talking that's not really an issue or needs a reason
He probably just doesn't feel like talking that's not really an issue or needs a reason
Well he just kinda dropped off mid conversation. And then he vanishes for an entire day.
Well he just kinda dropped off mid conversation. And then he vanishes for an entire day.
Pft people do that to me on Skype all the time It's actually the reason I don't use Skype anymore and got more comfortable with typing [editline]26th February 2014[/editline] Most of the reasons were "I had to do something" or "Got bored of the conversation" "Got bored of the conversation", really doesn't perk your self esteem
Is it bad for your employment record to have "left job for better place" anyways? I kind of wanna look for another job, but I quit a job before and I dont want to seem like I quit a lot.
Try to get at least a month or two out of a job, unless it's a dire issue. But if you have on your resume a bunch of jobs you worked only for a short time, it may look unappealing. Unless it's all seasonal/temp jobs.
It's not bad for your resume to quit a job. But to make it worthwhile on your resume, you must at the very least, work for 6 months at a place. Internships are different, though. Quitting for a better pay is pretty much a valid reason. What counts too, are your references.
The places I apply at will call my old job only to hear "Yeah he was leaning on shit too much so we fired him"

Drop in and out of conversations like there's a Macy's sale.
Love Skype. It's easy for me anyway and if I don't reply, it's usually because I'm busy on my end. So pretty much I pull the 'it's not you, it's me' thing.
i like steam most because i can play games when bored and talk to people in that instance. except for when it shits out which is like 95% of the time.
Hangouts is where it's at, you can get an indicator showing where the person read up to. It's the difference between not being avaliable and ignoring you.
You can't get any better than Xfire, guys.
Skype and Steam makes a good combo for me, imo.
You can't get any better than Xfire, guys.
Man, feels like I just took a step back into 2005 in here.
Skype and Steam makes a good combo for me, imo.
Most of my friends are on Steam, I have like 3 people from here on Skype :v:
Hangouts is where it's at, you can get an indicator showing where the person read up to. It's the difference between not being avaliable and ignoring you.
Still promoting that thing, eh?
god just create a tinychat and use skype for communication, that's way better than hangouts.
god just create a tinychat and use skype for communication, that's way better than hangouts.
stop changing your steam pictures to stuff that i can't view in public / that makes me laugh so hard you little shit
but you can rhyme hangout with wangout which brings an insignificant but still present humour factor to the chat in the sense of penile (and possibly totally homo) comedy. then again i only caught onto that just now but yeah woo
Still promoting that thing, eh?
After using it for some months more extensively since I got more people to use it with, it's pretty good. It's not the greatest, it has some flaws but it's good. Some of the issues just applies to me realistically. Now if the steam app added group chat, I'd use it often.
This guy I was talking to on skype last night suddenly isn't talking anymore. Apparently he does this often, for no explained reason.
If someone talks to me and I don't respond, it's usually just because I don't feel like talking at that moment. Seems pretty normal to me.
Funny thing, I was actually thinking of renting a voip for everyone in here. Kind of tired typing on a phone for another month. So I wanted to ask if it was teamspeak or mumble. But I'll consider, so don't think it's a promise. Just wanted to get opinions.
If someone talks to me and I don't respond, I've fallen asleep.
If someone talks to me and I don't respond, I've fallen asleep.
You don't seem asleep to me. (check your Hangouts ya turd)
the two reasons i usually don't respond to people is because either I don't want to talk or I wandered off to do something with my amazing attention span then got distracted by somethign elsewhere for half an hour :v: alternately because i'm not there
You don't seem asleep to me. (check your Hangouts ya turd)
I meant on Skype. And I barely use that, honestly :v:
I'm pretty awkward to talk to but if we did ever have a chat thing set up, I'd join it.
TBH I don't really like RenegadeX that much. Maybe its because was expecting C&C but in FPS form (AKA something akin to Empires Mod or NS2), instead its literally just a C&C-themed version of UT2K4 but with classes and much smaller maps, with the game mode being basically just like UT's onslaught but without capturing power nodes and there being 4-5 power cores (AKA buildings) to blow up instead of just one. Extra negative points for the desert map, which is basically just a variation of 2fort in design.
I will admit Renegade X is a bit underwhelming. Like jesus it was immense at first but after about 4 matches you end up sat in the middle of the map in an endless stalemate with the other team. It's fun but I can see it getting stale quickly.
stop changing your steam pictures to stuff that i can't view in public / that makes me laugh so hard you little shit
No can do, gotta maintain a quota.
Funny thing, I was actually thinking of renting a voip for everyone in here. Kind of tired typing on a phone for another month. Otherwise I got two places that you fags can stalk.
Skype's my go-to service, but it's been plagued with bugs and slow connections on and off since they've been transitioning from P2P to cloud-based messaging. I use it on both my phone and laptop and Skype seems to trip up a bit between them when they're both in use at the same time. If only Kik had a webapp/desktop client, I'd be very very happy (not for voice obv just for general messaging)
though I'll be damned if this isn't a pretty sight after a nuclear boom [t]http://i.imgur.com/LiyPdnO.jpg[/t] Edit: Okay, got cut off by 2 people, I should be used to this by now.
