That moment when Facepunch tells you there's 5 new posts in a thread, and it turns out there's well over a page worth of new posts.
That's because in the time it takes to find and click on the new posts button, twenty new posts are made.
Not that I'm complaining. I can't think of anything better to do between classes than read five pages of new posts.
[sp]That's not sarcasm. You're all fantastic people <3[/sp]
My cat is snoring so loud I can hear her behind the music playing on my headsets.
Cat pls.

Have had 4 cats throughout my lifetime, none of them have ever snored and it is therefore incredibly hard for me to imagine... And yet I find the thought incredibly amusing.
okay so my mom lied to me about the whole insurance thing. the procedure wasn't to fix all of my teeth, it was to pull my critically bad tooth, and get a few fillings for my front teeth. yeah fuck that. but that's not the worst part.
it would have cost $22,000 total to fix all of my teeth instead of the $5,500 she told me.
twenty two thousand united states dollars
fuck everything, i'm going to do my first ~independent~adult~ thing and sign myself up for obamacare.
it's already promising that i put in my address, ssn, and annual income ($0) and it already says i'm approved.
[editline]26th February 2014[/editline]
let me put this into perspective
the average funeral in america costs somewhere between $7,000 and $10,000
it would be cheaper for me to die than it would to get my teeth fixed.

Prioritization of lower taxes for the sake of personal freedom over raising the average standard of living, among other things.
Mouth full of cotton, bottom lip down to my chin is totally numb, having trouble typing.
Hmmmmrumblegrumble.....
You know your family is having budget issues when your mom is begging you to quit your job so we can get food stamps again. :/

Well I mean no shit it's cheaper to plan a baby funeral than to raise the child that really doesn't mean much lol
But yeah this sucks but with your lack of revenue Obamacare can definitely help. Hope you figure something out

But now you get to spend the next several hours just poking at your chin while not being able to feel it at all.
One of life's greatest pleasures.

Man, if I ever had an opportunity to leave, I would. The blatant (and often encouraged) disregard for other people's well-being is endlessly infuriating. Like seriously, I've been told I'm an idiot for wanting universal healthcare. I'm not hugely into politics or economics unfortunately, so I can't really articulate the best course of action, but I do think its something we should eventually strive for.
Also, I love my parents, since they are otherwise great people, but if I have to hear one more "Obama is ruining America" or "lazy poor are destroying America" rant I'm going to come unglued. Once Fox News ends up on the TV I tend to shy away and get the fuck out of there.

Jesus Christ!
Why do people in the US blindly hate a single-payer healthcare system? It's free healthcare and survival goddamnit :suicide:
I hope you guys figure something out :(

Because the overriding mentality is "why should I pay for other people's healthcare?" even though healthcare costs are the largest cause of personal bankrupcy in the US, and that people without the money for healthcare should go to charity hospitals.
It's not a very complicated reason.

I've heard higher taxes and I've heard that it hurts doctors. And Americans hate the idea of taxes.
But higher taxes makes sense, naturally because that money has to come from somewhere. But I'm at a loss why it would hurt doctors. But like I mentioned in my previous post, I'm not an expert on the subject so I have no idea how it would affect medical employees.
It may simply be people having no idea how to look at the bigger picture.

somewhat reminds me of when my sister hated her job at wanted to leave because they abused the shit out of here but stayed and just tried to get fired while doing her job so she could collect unemployment while looking for another job.
It worked out swimmingly well because she found another job before doing that, worked both for about 2 months and then finally they fired her. She was pretty happy.

Some peeps in America want the country to be run on Christian values, but they're not willing to give money to the poor or act unselfishly; unless of course they're helping white middle-class people like themselves (as long as they also think the same way they do). Weird.

Seems like my entire mouth is numb EXCEPT for the part that they cut into, now. Can't talk, but much pain.

I was really afraid of divulging personal secrets when I was drugged up for getting my wisdom teeth out, but apparently all I did was sing to people. Like... for the entire day.
Then I found out that I was allergic to the pain medication I was given, and that.... that did not make me feel like singing.
Jesus tap dancing christ i found something awesome. I'm a digital hoarder/packrat i almost never delete anything at all, even prior windows installations (i literally just remove the bootable files .rar up user profiles, then usually clear the partitions, i still have vista and xp installations on this machine, i have 6 active hard drives i use and have 4 IDE drives laying around that i will sometimes use).
So i was browsing around old files and literally found my original Postal 2 installation from 2005. Complete with a few mods. Even had an old mod i had long forgotten about, the TN Weapon mod which came with a neat and decently sized map. The weapons were god awful, very badly modeled and textured but still fun.
Jesus christ though, my original P2 folder, still alive, and still working. Last patched to 1409, and not 1409x.

I still have my original retail Team Fortress 2 disc from 2008 sitting on a shelf behind me.
I've reinstalled the game hundreds of times, usually fucking with mods and files. I had expected the folder to be long gone. It wasn't even the backup folder i made for it, it was straight up the original installation.

Luckily all I did was silently fall asleep. When I woke up I didn't want to talk to anybody. They just let me stumble into the chair so they could keep an eye on me for a little bit and I just sat there totally silent, looking around.
