I feel so many feels tonight. Over the last week I planned the bestest scavenger-hunt/double-surprise birthday party for my best friend. She only wanted a small get together with close friends, but it turned into driving around the city with clues at each location, ending up at the Lego movie(Which was awesome), having a surprise birthday back at her place when she thought we were done, and then taking her to a hookah bar since she turned 18, where we were entertained by an absolutely hammered guy dressed up as a penguin. She told me it was the best birthday she had ever had, and may ever have, and thanked me for everything. Making people happy feels absolutely fucking fantastic.

I've returned to this thread after like a week of not going on Facepunch. I would ask if anything interesting happened but everyone will say no. I find every post here interesting though so you're wrong!!1! I am struggling to resist the urge to go back and read every post since I was last here. Hopefully I won't go back to reading every post when I wake up in the morning. That was silly.

This has become a recent topic of interest to me: Why the heck do people ride fixed gear bikes? I park my hunkajunk peugeot roadbike my dad purchased with a bottle of vodka next to shiny fixies with custom neon spokes and lightweight frames every day. yet, on the road, i overtake so many huffing hipsters on the slight hills on the city center it's pretty apparent they're trash for getting around or getting fit, and they really wouldn't look any worse if they had some gears on them, why would someone pay so much for an inferior bike?
