Yeah, the story was a bit shit, and tedious, I never finished it. Also the driving was weird, weird driving physics (air control too, what the fuck).
I was immensely disappointed with gta v in many ways. Partially however it was due to me being a fanboy and hyping myself up too much. But story wise GTA V was very underwhelming. It's mostly because of how decentralized the story was throughout the game. The introduction of 3 main characters was a very very bold move. While rockstar had managed to exceptionally implement a three character concurrent system and build missions. Mechaninc wise they did a magnicifcent job. However, the story suffered immensely from it. They tried to do what they did with eflc, have three story arcs all their own while intersecting, but all at once with one main arc concurrently running with each of them in it almost constantly, not weavining in and out. It worked in eflc because each chracter was played completely independently in their each game/episode so a better story could be laid out and each character have their own rich background. GTA V each character lacks this rather rich backstory. They establish the core plot with trevor and micheal and add a bit more on to that but beyond very small details you still don't get to really grow with them or know them fully and when franklin is added in, all three have very their own story arcs loosely applied. Franklin with his pining to get out of the ghetto, they leave very little in explaining that, going further with lamarr, and they tried but failed to introduce that love aspect of franklins that they barely acknowledge. Micheal's was the only fleshed out on as obviously micheal was the central character of it all, but his character is barely explored as well. Trevor has his drug operation going on but with the yakuza, the yakuza aspect of his story is so weakly done and barely addressed. Weston is introduced far too late in the game as well and his arc is very anticlimatic. Then you have all sorts of small details that Rockstar was known for like their parodying of cultures through the media in game be it tv, radio, or internet. All three were very blatantly and not too subtle like in past titles, but very in your face. Forced almost. The radio was more seriously done but not as serious as it was done in gta iv but they still made some bad calls with the radio. However, i quite like the driving handling in gta V, it's much more appropriate and very responsive and feels very tight but nice. Vehicles feel much less boat like and each behave as you'd expect. The addition of things like air control, while i do like, must admit wish they didn't add, or the ability to flip cars over. It made it easier, but i also miss not being able to get out of almost any situation. TL;DR GTA V, fun, but a let down in few ways. [editline]16th March 2014[/editline]
Sppssss there is this thing called an opinion. GTA is bad IMO.
What makes you say it's a bad game all together? I'm legitimately curious as to why you go as far as to say the series itself is bad.
words
I just was referring to GTA V. Sorry. It got boring so quick.
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/8tYVthC.jpg[/img_thumb]
pictures make little bumblebees and spiders and stuff look so adorable but in real life I'm terrified of every little insect :c
I just was referring to GTA V. Sorry. It got boring so quick.
Fair enough, i still say it delivered on the 'more gta' front, while picking and choosing major design choices and compromised between the more serious gta iv direction with the original direction of over the top crazy stuff.
spiders
Spiders are never adorable under any circumstances creepy 8 legged fuckers
Spiders are never adorable under any circumstances creepy 8 legged fuckers
What about this cute lil guy? :3
pictures make little bumblebees and spiders and stuff look so adorable but in real life I'm terrified of every little insect :c
I can't even put them in a cup or whack them or whatever you do with bugs. They just creep me out too much, I hate how they move, I hate the sounds they make, I hate how they feel. I just hate bugs.
GTA 5 is fun, for me. It has problems, but it still does what I need to to well, and that's be a fun mindless sandbox where I can fuck with people with fairly good body physics. Also, I can never find a spider cute. Too much arachnophobia.
What about this cute lil guy? :3
I can kind of see that spider with a giant-ass frown. And it just makes it all that much funnier. But seriously, spiders are horrifying.
What about this cute lil guy? :3
He doesn't look amused.
What about this cute lil guy? :3 awful
He looks like something that crawled out of the depths of hell. I'd get my shotgun if I saw one (and if I had a shotgun) Spiders are never cute.

Please stop with the creepy crawlies. :C
Yeah, they're creepy
Post snakes instead. Snakes are ultimate cute.
Snakes are smelly, I prefer dogs.
Small furry animals are the best. Like kittens and puppies and domesticated rats and stuff
Corgi, problem solved.

Hey, It's been awhile since I've been here. :)
now we have to choose whether to sort by value or by colour
It still baffles me that Sir Wilfred Laurier is on the $5 bill.
