Agree, Funny, Winner and Friendly as the most positive ratings makes up ~83% of votes. That's nice. Though, is this for a specific member, a specific thread, or just the whole forum?
Specific member, that being me. Look at all of that beautiful pink~
someone called me a soundboard in CS what does that even mean?
Specific member, that being me. Look at all of that beautiful pink~
I was thinking there should be more dumbs than that, for the whole forum. Colour me optimistic for thinking that was the whole forum. I want to see mine now, so that literally everybody here can post about what their percentages are for a whole page. I don't know, but I rather message J.G. Quintel's mascot about this first.
Mordecai is a total cutie.
If it's a choice between doing homework and talking about animal people I know what I choose.
if i was in secondary it'd have to be homework cus otherwise i'd get detention for not doing it :c
Detention? Fucking detention is still a thing?
Yes. Except here we've renamed to ISS. Why name it after the International Space Station, I have no idea.
I honestly hate how they treat us on this highschool. To put it short, I transfered from one to another because I didn't feel satisfied with the way I was going. But here, they treat us like a little kids. There, they treated us like adults. No "Do your homeworks, I'll check them tomorrow","Show me how well are you keeping your notebook", no parenting bullshit like that. They simply were "I don't care if you pay attention or not, you are the one who's gonna fail at those tests." and it worked. students studied and payed attention not because someone was forcing them but because they wanted to. But on this school it's exact opposite. I feel like I am fucking 14 or something, checking if I've done my homework and shit. It's dismotivating as hell too. And it's even worse in combination with those idiotic classmates I am in one room with. They score all points in immaturity. Not even I was like that.
We were pretty much treated like children all throughout my school career. It's hard not to when about 90% of my classmates acted like they were still 12.
Yes. Except here we've renamed to ISS. Why name it after the International Space Station, I have no idea.
That's strange, ISS and detention are two very separate things at my old high school. ISS is like you have to be removed from your classes for the whole day and then some, while detention you just have to work quietly in the library for a little bit
ISS is basically the all encompassing punishment for anything at my high school. I remember being about 3 seconds late for first period once because the bell rang fast in the morning and having to spend the rest of the day in ISS. Made me feel like shit. Didn't help that the ISS teacher that day called me a clown for nothing. :v:
it always mildly amused me that the punishment for missing a few minutes of school was missing more school
That's the American Education System for ya. A school repeatedly reporting low test scores? Better underfund them some more as a punishment!
That's the American Education System for ya. A school repeatedly reporting low test scores? It was an awful school to be at.

That's hilariously shameful. [editline]18th April 2014[/editline] "Why try when you can just pretend like they don't exist? :D"
On the topic of detentions because apparently we are talking about it. Here at this school, you have these punishments starting from least severity to high. Detention = You stay in school for a extra hour with a teacher assigned to watch. Normally used for minor offenses. Friday School = You stay in school for 3 hours on a Friday, hence the name. Normally used for repeat offenses or somewhat major offenses. Suspension = You loose three days of school and you rarely have an option to take assignments/tests afterwords. Major or continued offenses. Suspended Learners Permit (Age >16) = After two suspensions, you loose the ability to get a drivers license until your are 18. BMV Enforced. Expulsion = You are no longer permitted on school grounds. Highly major offenses or offenses with no sign of stopping. [editline]18th April 2014[/editline] I've also taken to notice it seems to work for the nearest local BMV for suspensions of a learners permit. Considering my mom did manage to get a clear at a different branch.
