Of course, thats how relationships and dating work. Rarely do people break up yet still want to be with someone.
However its important to realize that there is nothing wrong with this, and nothing wrong with you. This is the natural course of such things - she found out that she really wasn't compatable with you or that your goals didn't align with her goals in life or that what she needs out of a relationship couldn't possibly be fulfilled with how your relationship was so things had to break away. You have nothing to be ashamed of - its sad to breakup for sure, but don't put all the blame on yourself! This is what dating is for, for figuring out what you want out of your life and your relationships. Unfortunately sometimes this means that your partner might figure out you aren't right for what they are looking for and not vice versa. Its not pretty, but its improtant to realize its not personal. Strive to be the person you want to be and make yourself ready for someone who you might be compatible with both ways. Sometimes you find the perfect person but as people change when they grow older, so do their goals in life. And sometimes those goals don't align. Its a hard struggle, but one everyone who dates must accept in order to really find someone good. If you don't play at all, you never win. And even considering this, it doesn't invalidate all the good times you had with your ex(s). You can still care for them even though the relationship is over, and still think fondly about the good times you had together even if it hurts to do so now.
Maybe this is a great time for you to take a personal growth period. My breakup I had a few years ago with a local boy shattered my world at the time, but I cherish it now because going through that experience is what allowed me to actually grow to be a better person today. I would not be where I am at right now if I didn't go through such a thing even if it took waaaaay too long for me to get over it (over a year for a guy I only dated 5 months), and I wouldn't be making the friends/relationships/connections I am doing now without that period of self-growth.

why is this getting worse. i thought it was getting better. but it got worse. i love coming down with a fever in applebees of all places.
Looking at job openings for game dev places for fun. Basically: "BE AMAZING AND GOD LIKE IN YOUR ABILITIES AND WE MIGHT CONSIDER YOU"
help I'm trying but its kind of hard to focus on doing that when school and work demand my time and energy :c
Downside to graduating at 25 is that I feel like I'll need 1-2 years of pure dedication working on a game specific portolfio to make up for the lost time that I couldn't spend actually working on a targeted portfolio thanks to work+university. Sure I have some stuff that I think sounds nice on a resume, but I don't really have a "years strong level of skill" doing stuff like environment art or code or etc. Which is fine but then I'm like... what, 27 by the time I can start working a "real" job? Guess thats the price I pay for doing school in a manner I can afford to avoid crippling debt.
Or I should stop looking at the large number of openings companies like RSI have and keep my expectations low with an internship at someplace huge, where they can afford to have someone who isn't literally the pinnacle of skill.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the greatest mash up of all time?

Nah its not infected, I know whats happened. It scared over then I had a shower and it softened everything, after that happened it started to bruise because she actually clawed pretty deep. Its just itchy because of where its located.
