meeting up with a canadian guy i've known online for the past year, in a couple of months; applying for a passport in the morning (i'm in the USA)

i've never had a bf or anything due to not having a car except for super recently (got one less than a month ago) and not being able to ask my parents for a ride to anything gay like this

our personalities seem to be a match, and we both respect each other as being intelligent, so we're gonna meet up for a week and see how things go

i want to be able to skype with him while i'm at work, so i'm finally getting a smartphone; upgrading from a dumb old flip-phone
the tipping point is that i found out i can get a no-contract internet phone plan for CHEAPER than my current no-contract payments that don't have internet, via a walmart employee discount
i get to choose the phone too

i'm thinking a Moto G. any better ideas? it must be android (because i like to develop for android)

My friend's got one, it's a pretty good, cheap phone. One thing to note is that you need to root if you want to remove the constant "no second sim" icon. Although I'm guessing you'll do that anyway

I have a final to take in like 40 minutes and i'm actually rather unprepared but only because the final is pretty unevenly weighted with there being just 6 questions. 1 of the questions is worth 70 points, the other 5 are worth 6 points each. And it's based mostly off the textbook as my professor decided to only hold lectures on certain chapters.

I fucking hate when professors do that because lectures are to teach and to reaffirm what you read, the two should not be separate. If you tell me that i gotta read the book to learn what i need to pass for the class and can't learn it from lectures then why am i paying the professors an exuberant amount of money to teach me it when i could have just bought the textbook? This isn't how teaching works.

I had two exams I was relatively unprepared for. Got two of the lowest marks I've ever had. I'm scared now 'cause I was trying to do well this semester to bring my GPA up as I approach my final year, instead I am bringing it down.
