I really need like a punching bag or something to beat the fuck out of. I've been feeling really aggressive lately.

Been doing it for years though, always have such a good time doing it. It's especially great going with a partner, can't wait to do it when my girlfriend gets here. Only problem I have is that my feet act as if they want to be doing water skiing, since I've been doing that 15 years of my life and it causes my feet to act all weird as obviously ice skating doesn't work the same way. Tonight I get to go to the far bigger rink with less people, which will be great to try stuff I've been watching.

Go somewhere, describe your taste preferences or say you're a beginner and they'll point you in the right direction. A good big brand to start from would be Glenfiddich 15 year old since it's common and good. Aim to buy single malt unless it's an expensive blend. It's difficult to make a good blend since all the different malts have to compliment each other, usually blended whiskey is the cheap stuff because they just throw in lots of cheap batches together. With properly good whiskies it's also hard to point to a specific brand as one to try because each batch they make is different and with single malts they change a lot from year to year, much more so than wine, so you have to know which year is good from which distillery. [editline]17th May 2014[/editline] Oh yeah, and if you're in the USA, there's no laws requiring Scotch to be from Scotland to be called Scotch, it can just be "Scotch style", so make sure you're buying the real deal before your swindled by some cheap whiskey.

I like whiskey because it doesn't taste like alcohol. In fact I can't tell it's in my mouth until it's too late. Very good.

I don't know why people don't like vodka at all. It's like vanilla ice cream, pretty much anything and vodka tastes good. Then again I'm not a huge stickler for alcohol in general
