Its not so much a fix as it is a way to try and get the drive to work long enough to recover the data. Depends on how it died, but you don't have anything to lose.

Alright so some weasely little fuck managed to infect my laptop, and WSE/Malwarebytes can't unhinge him. Is it possible to copy/paste my documents and pictures onto a flash drive, nuke the main (clear it) and then put it back. Is that a real ability or is it just a stupid that I've heard.

I would just use a LiveCD to make sure the infected Windows partition has no affect on the ability to back up. NTFS drives usually mount easy in Linux nowadays anyway.
