I can't see this debate as being purely opinion vs. opinion because one of the opinions results in other people being treated with disgust and contempt

Yeah, this is also why I've continued this discussion. It does lead to bad things.

welcome to culture can i take your hat sir.
You know I've been tuning in and out of this thread for the past couple minutes and not once have I even considered actually reading any of these arguments :v:
Eh, nevermind. Could be taken to private discussions if needed.
Friggin' prudes.
Does any of this conversation solve the problem of:
There is someone in my house and I don't know who and I really need to pee but I don't want to leave my room in case they murder me.

If they attempt to murder you, pee all over them and escape in the confusion

No, we couldn't even figure out how you should feel if you went out and saw them making out with someone.
I dunno why, but anytime a stranger or really anyone I don't really know that well uses our bathroom, I'm afraid of going in there after they used it. It's an irrational fear, but I just don't feel right doing it right after they get out. I have to wait for someone else to use it before I deem it safe.

That's because "Can I use your bathroom" is stranger code for "Can I lay booby traps all over your bathroom", so it's entirely reasonable that you'd want to avoid going in.
Hell I usually wait until 2 people go in, just to be sure they got all the traps.
I'm just scared if that particular person is uncaring about their hygiene and leaves it a mess. Then it feels like stepping into a medical waste dump.
I stayed out of the whole PDA argument because I am pretty sure I've basically taken most of my clothes off making out in a public place before. I dunno how it makes me feel if someone was to do the same whilst I was on my way to the bakery or something. Mind you one club I went to the waitressess were basically just wearing underwear and I kept going on about how they should put some clothes on.
Also I missed most of it.

Wait I was supposed to post this before I posted the person in my house thing.
So i'm sitting here on the sidelines at this point, rereading the last two pages.
This is fucking stupid. Like no if ands or buts here, this is stupid.
It's pure opinion vs pure opinion. I don't even care about this stuff. If i see someone making out in public i'll think it's rude but i won't go up tothem and stop them. I just ignore them. Right now this is just completely subjective logic vs completely subjective logic.
Fuck this i'm staying on the sidelines.
No, this is not correct. You are actively avoiding constructing an argument, waiving both sides' arguments away as subjective.
His argument is to ask why something is bad. Rubs has detailed the manner in which your answers were looping without reaching a conclusion (circular logic), and to escape this you conceded your argument as subjective.
The problem is that you did not take the rational approach: realize that a subjective argument is built of flaws.
Instead, you decided to call his argument irrational as well, despite his being a process to determine an objective result on a matter that DOES have an objective result: Is it harmful to express your biology in public?
Circular logic and aggressive escapism are both symptoms of the main problem here:
You cannot accept being wrong, and so react with anger instead of intrigue to be told that you are.
You'll view this post as me having a staunch outlook like yours, but Rubs and I both truly just want to get to the bottom of the truth, and would happily agree with you, if you would make a solid point.
I wanna kiss a girl so I can fit in here as a gay person.
No girls wanna kiss me :C

You can be gay and not kiss someone.

I want you to realize something:
opinions differ.
[editline]27th May 2014[/editline]
You want more? Where is his counter argument?
His counter argument is just as irrational as mine then. I say it's rude, he said it's not rude.
At this point it is literally opinion vs opinion. Neither side is giving any actual concrete examples, nothing objective. Both are very very subjective. I got out of this argument because it's silly, this same argument has been going on for years, and it gets nowhere. Neither side in this instance will arrive at a different mindset, we are both set in it. I realized how redundant this argument is so i hightailed it out of there but schmucks like you keep pulling me back in.
I said this to a few others already, my fatal flaw is that if you push me, i will push back.
You want to keep arguing this completely pointless and subjective case? Take it to pm's and i'll whine to you for a few more hours and you'll whine back to me for a few more hours and then you can realize how redundant this whole argument is.
Don't ever come to Tennessee them. We have those AND black widows to worry about.
Got 'em here too, the widows are a lot less of a worry since they don't like human dwelling as much as recluses
Usually I just accept and/or ignore the fact of their existence but all those crazy close up and high res pictures tripped a paranoia circuit and audbgfisdfugbidfgb I hate brown recluses they just look so goddamn creepy and unpleasant and horrible and bleugh

I'm afraid to even look up what kinds of spiders there are here. Especially after finding the corpse of one that was about 3 or 4 inches in size when cleaning up our house when we first moved in. Where I used to live, I rarely ever saw any that got bigger than to inches.
Also, the other day, my sister took a drink from her soda can and wound up with a spider crawling around in her mouth.

I hope you gave her lots of hugs because that's terrible.
Fallout new vegas can be scary sometimes :C
How do you guys feel about having kids? I always wanted to have a child but I'm scared about it too. I'm worried about adverse inherited traits such as depression. I'm also worried about how I'm going to raise him or her.

If that ever happens, I'm adopting. Also, researching parenting and moving somewhere where I'd be okay with my kid growing up.
