I hope you gave her lots of hugs because that's terrible.
It sure made me paranoid to drink for an hour or so, even out of a clear glass. I don't think I could even take it half as well as she did.
Public displays of affection are just two people engaged in an activity they find fun that harms nobody else. It's just as rational to get angry at two people for throwing a frisbee around in a park.
I hate it when people throw frisbees. People enjoying themselves makes me sick, who do they think they are having fun?
Got 'em here too, the widows are a lot less of a worry since they don't like human dwelling as much as recluses Usually I just accept and/or ignore the fact of their existence but all those crazy close up and high res pictures tripped a paranoia circuit and audbgfisdfugbidfgb I hate brown recluses they just look so goddamn creepy and unpleasant and horrible and bleugh My friend also threw this link at me which didn't help at all
4000-5000 spiders YEAH fuck that
I spent four hours trying to get a board game I thought up to work. I have an assignment I'm supposed to be doing...
So I got an employee fired today. Had a call yesterday about someone wanting to put a company sim car in a personal phone, which is extremely against the company policy. After I advised him this isn't allowed, he went and did it anyway so I had to file a security report. Got told today he was fired and has a black mark against his name. I kinda feel like a dick as I had to file that report, since chances are it will be very, very hard for him to find a job that isn't mcdonalds or something again. At the same time it's like "Whoa I have the power to do this". Also, hopefully by the end of this weekend, I will have met all Australian regulars of this thread, except two of them.
I wouldn't feel bad, he was made aware it wasn't allowed and you just did what you were supposed to.
i have a coworker guilty of theft, vandalism (x2, including throwing and breaking knives), sexual harassment, lots of food throwing, and hiding from doing work still not fired
So I assume he's related to someone high up.
How do you guys feel about having kids? I always wanted to have a child but I'm scared about it too. I'm worried about adverse inherited traits such as depression. I'm also worried about how I'm going to raise him or her.
Kids are loud and expensive, I don't ever plan to have them
I'd like kids sometime.

Or were you downright like 'if you do this I'll have to file a security report and you may get fired'?
Well, I told him it's very against company policy and that it's common knowledge that only company issued things go together. So that includes sim cards and that. Funny thing is that it's not specifically written down anywhere except on the data privacy sheet, which we don't actually have access to. It's kinda funny how after being told 6 times he still did it.
Funny thing is that it's not specifically written down anywhere except on the data privacy sheet, which we don't actually have access to.
Pretty sure that means they legally can't do shit against him :v:
I feel kind of down, but not over anything in particular. Today was quiet, no major dramas at work. But I still don't feel quite happy, or even average.
I find myself just wanting to play games. Usually open ended games, board games, computer games, whatever. Ones that don't have a specific story, but let you put the narrative in it. Like DayZ, KSP, Project Zomboid, Banished, Crusader Kings 2, Civilization III: Conquests or Civ V, Democracy 3, Eve: Online, even Minecraft. The list goes on, there is so much stuff. I wanna buy myself a good computer but that costs me a good portion of my savings and it always goes back to one thing: Spend a thousand or more on a desktop PC... or go travelling? And really the ultimate adventure is in the travelling part, but I have no one I want to go with (well I do but I doubt they would) and I am too nervous. So I cuddle up in bed most days and go where my imagination takes me. Technically your imagination can take you to worlds far better than what you'll ever see in real life. But some of the things you can do and see on planet earth... I don't want to miss out on them. At least I guess I have the choice. Some people never do.
When it comes down to that choice I always spent money on a PC but now that I have a nice little triple-monitor dual-GPU setup and around 5 laptops I'm forced to go outside once in a while

Better preventing something from happening (such as him causing a huge security breach by losing his personal phone) than something happening and you getting fired/in trouble for not preventing it.

Yep. You'll have a better time and life travelling/backpacking than you would playing video games sitting at home on an expensive computer. For the cost of a gaming PC you could travel for weeks or months if you plan properly. Nobody will look back and think "man, I wish I played more video games at their max settings".
I'd love to travel. I haven't been out of my state in years. Gotta have money though!
Picked up some choice beans from a local roaster in boston :3 more boston pics coming soon [t]http://i.imgur.com/8x7tmtM.jpg[/t]
