Okay, another Windows 8 question. How do you close apps?
I'm scared because I still have windows 7 and this computer is lasting me another year so I will be asking all these questions on the release of Windows 9, about windows 8. I don't like change, it's clearly evil.
[...] A whopping eight and a half cents worth of money, 8.4 of those cents are held in US currency, so I have a total of 0.1 cents worth of cryptocurrency!
Saying 0.1 ¢ is like saying you have $0.001 dollars. [editline]30th May 2014[/editline] I'll now warn that the cent symbol breaks editing.
The first thing I did with Windows 8 was hunt down and install a classic shell thingbob because like fuckin' hell I need a goddamn tablet interface on my desktop
A friend (???) is smoking weed with their buddy and they are just talking to me. Before you ask, they are not enlightening anything. [editline]30th May 2014[/editline] [t]http://puu.sh/97lI7.png[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/97lEJ.png[/t]
Playing WATCH_DOGS. Protip: Do not believe Minimum Requirements bullshit. I have 4 gigs of RAM, an Intel Core i3-2100k (3.10 GHz; 2 cores, 4 threads) and a GTX 650 (2 GB). Game runs at constant 60 on Medium Settings. 6 GBs of RAM my ass.
I'm running the game on ultra with about 70fps. They say you need a video card with 3gb of vram to run ultra textures, my graphics card has 1.5 . I honestly feel like watchdogs really bumped everything up on the box to give the illusion that it was next gen. I legitimately don't know what to think of the game though. It is far too inconsistent. Sometimes the game looks utterly beautiful graphically, while other times it seriously looks like Saint's Row 2. The driving physics and handling are something i both hate but love, the shooting is oddly satisfying but the movement controls are clunky as hell. The world feels very very alive at times but will in a heartbeat feel incredibly fake. The moral system seems largely pointless and easily manipulable and it's very easy to get skill points. The skill tree is very bad and is largely giving you basic abilities or trivial things but this works out because of how many points the game throws at you. (Seriously i did 4 missions and had over 20 spendable skill points). There doesn't seem to be any real incentive to stealthily do a mission, the same results are acquired either way it seems and in fact i think you can get much more points from taking a lethal route than non lethal. The radio/music system is weird as well. It's not so much a radio, but a playlist of songs. They only play when you're in the car/have the app running on your phone and if you exit the vehicle the song stops completely, when you get back in it restarts the song. You also can not pause the song; however there is a pause function, all it does it stop the track from playing, but upon unpausing it starts from the beginning. You also have to find more music by hacking people which is something i both like and dislike. This game is Bipolarism: The Video Game.
Okay, another Windows 8 question. How do you close apps?
I'd probably update to 8.1 as soon as you can. 8.1 is a lot more desktop friendly than old 8 was, and apps will get an "x" button just like everything else does
Oh and one more thing. Chick Fil A legitimately scares me and i don't like going into their restaurants. I'm cool with like food court CFA's though. First time i went to one was like 3 years ago and it was in an upscale neighborhood. As soon as i entered i was greeted with sincere friendliness and promptness asking if i could be helped. This seriously took me off guard. They were far too nice and the food was ready very quickly and the manager told us to have a seat and he'd deliver it to our table (this is honestly something that severely bothered me and is the real reason why i don't like going into their actual stores). The place was utterly spotless, not a dribble of ketchup or loose straw wrapped blighted the floor or blemished the table. Everyone was smiling, they had very organized condiment counters with mints, moist towlettes and toothpicks. It was too perfect. I couldn't buy into it. This place can't exist. You don't realize how perfect chick fil a actually is. They are literally considered the pinnacle of what a company should be for retail stores. This isn't a philosophy i made up, Chick Fil A receives the highest scores and percentages of customer satisfaction across the board in every category. Many many companies pay a third party service to collect data and rank them for exactly this and most companies will legitimately tell you 'we aim to be like Chick Fil A". I have a bi-yearly meeting at my job, in fact i have the second meeting of this year this coming wednesday. At this meeting we go over employee practices and the usual refresh on training but we also go through our statistics - percentages across the board on how we perform against all other companies, against other locations, against our competitors ect ect. And Chick Fil A dominates the top of the scores with an unheard percentage of Customer Satisfaction. Most companies shoot for about 75% right? To get above that is very hard and when people do go above that they're looking at the low to mid 80's. Chick Fil A has over 90% and always has. We're told at these meetings to 'Be More Like Chick Fil A'. I am convinced chick fil a is a secret cult. Not a religious cult, but just some sort of cult of perfectness.
You make it sound like they're secretly Nazis or something. ..wait a minute..
go to desktop right click top left corner hit close
What the fuck how is anyone supposed to know that [editline]30th May 2014[/editline]
I'd probably update to 8.1 as soon as you can. 8.1 is a lot more desktop friendly than old 8 was, and apps will get an "x" button just like everything else does
It is 8.1 It still sucks
It is 8.1 It still sucks
WELL IN THAT CASE... sorry :c
WELL IN THAT CASE... sorry :c
Don't be sorry. Microsoft should be sorry.
You make it sound like they're secretly Nazis or something. ..wait a minute..
They're too perfect to NOT be hiding something.
Don't be sorry. Microsoft should be sorry.
Don't worry, señorita, I'm not just sorry, I have physically morphed into a sorry. I am the sorry
Fuck. Just... shit. Whole day I am having breathing problems. My heart's freaking out almost after every movement I do. I feel tired and my brain slow. I am not sure what's going on but it's awful.
I miss school. I remember thinking how it would be hell if I got sent back in time and had to do high school again. But now I would take the opportunity. I didn't do badly, I just really didn't capitalise on my successes.
And here I am on the final stretch, 2 more weeks with 4 exams and hopefully I'll do well, pass everything and graduate. That way I can go to the college program (the only one) I got into which was pretty much what I wanted. I'd say lots of things have changed such as friends and my interests. A year ago, I'd be making my Python game summative project with an awesome comp sci teacher. Now with a different one, my interest kinda went down the toilet and my classmates all tell me that the new comp sci teacher probably single handedly changed many people's future studies and career paths from something in computer science to something else. I was thinking I'd choose and get into computer science programs in university a year ago, looks like it didn't happen. I know I could have done better and all that but that didn't happen and it's not like I can change all of those screw ups on tests and all that anymore. Just gotta keep on pushing forward. There's always future education of some sort so you could look into that to upgrade your learning so it would feel a bit like school
Fuck. Just... shit. Whole day I am having breathing problems. My heart's freaking out almost after every movement I do. I feel tired and my brain slow. I am not sure what's going on but it's awful.
I've been having the same problems since last week, along with intense chest pain whenever I eat anything. Saw the doctor yesterday, he told me it's most likely stress induced and gave me some antibiotics and omeprazole. If you're still feeling bad in a few days, see a doc. I'm hoping I get better, because if I'm still sick after these medications he's gonna have to shove a camera down my throat. :tinfoil:
[editline]29th May 2014[/editline] Super duper rough draft so it's shite I know
"it's shite I know" If this is shite I can't imagine how the final version will be.

I am not sure what's going on but it's awful.
This is pretty much my life right now for the past 2 years (except for the heart thing, I would be concerned about that). I think I have it figured out though. I'm technically overweight (225 lbs, 6'2") so I think my belly fat is making it hard for me to breathe since I have a noticeable gut. So I don't sleep well (I can barely make 6 hours, and that's probably just bare minimum out of exhaustion and they probably aren't a good deep 6 hours).
I literally can't hear out of my left ear right now. And I can't even muster the energy to fix it.
I literally can't hear out of my left ear right now. And I can't even muster the energy to fix it.
Woah, huh, maybe you should see a doctor?
Oh, I already know why it's happening, I just can't get myself to do the stuff needed to fix it.
Life is wonderful and I hope you all do very well in it!
I had a nap. In this nap I dreamed a dream of Reagy having an epic confrontation with her counterpart, "Red". But, all I can remember from said confrontation is that she said, "yay for gray"
It's afternoon. I'm tired. Haven't slept since 5PM yesterday. And I'm still mustering comprehension of the English language. [editline]30th May 2014[/editline] I'm going to sleep, Gay Chat. Good afternoon I guess.

Yaaay, another survival game that's like 10 years from being finished. On other note, I still feel like shit, can't breath properly and now I am having spontanious headaches. I really hope this will pass over me soon because not being able to go up one floor without feeling like racing with death really sucks balls.
So I think I might have just got hired in hospital patient transportation.

It's not like dayz or rust. The AI is the focal point.
Have you even seen the game. It's not like dayz or rust. The AI is the focal point.
I wasn't talking about that. I was mentioning the fact that there is minimum of newer survival games that are in final version. Just so many alphas and betas. What happened to things like keeping it for yourself till it's ready for release? I understand that those are studios with not limitless budget and that they need money to be able to fully finish games but there are so many ways hot to go about this. Releasing buggy alpha is one and not the best one in my opinion.
