Take what you currently have and make it as smooth as possible. But no, instead you see awful shit glitches, horrible optimizations around every other corner.

Releasing buggy alpha is one and not the best one in my opinion.[/QUOTE] You also have to understand that everyone's PC is different, there are literally thousands of different hardware configurations, and that makes development much harder because you have to support as many of them as you can so as to widen your player base. Releasing your game in an paid alpha/beta state is a really good way to get it on as many different PCs as possible to ensure everything works correctly for everyone. While also, as you mentioned, bringing in much needed revenue to help continue development.

God, the one thing about going to a bar your coworkers frequent is the politics that pop up. I actually had to just go home because it was so annoying. I wanted to get away from work, not hear more about it.

They have made it clear time and time again that it is for dedicated, die-hard fans who want to support the community and development. Alpha is not meant to be playable, this perception that they should make it palatable is ridiculous, they want to make a good game (and based on the warnings around the store page for DayZ they are expecting the people who own it to also want that) and that takes a long damn time and a lot of changes that players don't experience. Some early access are money grabs, but certainly not all. Planetary Annhiliation and DayZ are both examples of well executed early access games, the only thing is I would have preferred DayZ to be priced around the $100 mark for early access (like they did with PA) to reinforce the idea that [I]it's for die-hard fans, it isn't supposed to be a working game!!![/I]. Judge the developer on the final product only, or at the very least the beta (which [I]is[/I] supposed to be a working version). [editline]31st May 2014[/editline] /end rant

I gladly bought the game myself to support Rocket and his team because I had around 100 hours in the DayZ Mod, but usually dissuade my friends from getting the game until loot respawn is in because it's still a WIP. I'll definitely have to start playing again once loot respawn is back in, though. Too fun not to.

So I've ended up doing my first big purchase as an adult by buying a brand new car! Been saving up for a good amount of years even before I managed to find the job I've got now. Sad to see my old car go but it's just one of those things. Really glad I've got it finally sorted. Only one more thing I would like to try and do and then I can start saving up proper and everything again. Also recently got a WiiU for Mario Kart :v
