I want to do a poll on how you guys feel about people using the word "faggot" in a joking manner or as an insult unrelated to homosexuality (like to call someone an idiot) On a scale of 1-12 (using ratings) how do you feel about what I said above? Agree being that you find no problem with it and even use it yourself. Dumb being that you completely hate it and think it shouldn't ever be used.

I have absolutely no problem with it. Though others might because of bullying ect

To me it doesn't mean gay, it means an annoying prick. For example, Elton John is gay, but Glenn Beck is a faggot.

I take no offense to it unless it is used specifically in relation to sexuality. In which case i still don't really honestly care enough to do anything about because if you're dealing with someone whose best affront to you is 'faggot', they're really not worth your time.

I've said it plenty o' times. You've got to be careful about your use of this kinda language because whilst [I]you[/I] don't take it to mean something, other people might. And I'm not only talking about people being offended, I'm talking people who are homophobic as well. As with any cuss (hehehe it's a furneh word) I feel uncomfortable using it, but that's mostly just me, however this word, the n word and the c word are the absolutely most uncomfortable words for me to say and hear used. I don't use the word faggot. I think I might have at some point but that word has such a sharp association with me that I tend not to use it. If used a lot I'd be desensitized and maybe use it, but I don't hear it much. It doesn't bother me when I do hear it, but I hear it so infrequently that it takes me by surprise a little and I subconsciously judge the user to be a bit Americanized. 'Dick' is my go-to playful insult. Whenever I use anything with a harsher edge to it I take myself by surprise. I say 'fuck' and 'shit' a lot but I also say 'gosh' 'darn' 'goodness' 'golly' 'heck'. 'Heck' quite a lot. I adopted those goofy curse words as a joke but eventually they became habit. I remember getting pissed off with what I was doing and exclaiming something like "holy fucking heck" or "gosh fucking darn it". It's embarrassing.

So I had my ears cleaned yesterday at the doctors. SPOILER BECAUSE NASTY [sp] My right ear had a hard wax buildup that I didnt know about. There was no way I could take it out with conventional ear cleaning tools. So they cleaned up the right ear and like an inch and a half of wax came out. They said they were surprised I could hear out of it.[/sp] Anyway since I had it cleaned my dizzy spells are gone and I dont get random vertigo anymore. Everything is alllll good.

I knew it had to do with my right ear but I never suspected it was wax buildup.

I effectively skipped everything from the pelican crash to Hotel Zanzibar :v: It's a hellishly cowardly tactic but after reading about all the jackal snipers there I decided that would be my best course of action :v:
