It's only interesting because you're not affected by it. If you were born in that era you would definitely wish you were born in the 21st century.
If there's room to improve, I would never want to go backwards.
If there's room to improve, I would never want to go backwards.
But it sounds like you want to just want to skip a few 100 years and let time do the improving for you. Let me tell you, time does a horrible job at improving things.
Sad thing is it's a novel idea but its just not really something that came together
Just play payday honestly.

Oh lucky me. I was already working 8 hours this Saturday, now I am working 8 and a half hours. Add to that the owner is too cheap to let me close for 15 minutes to have a break and then when I do get to eat between customers, I have no time to wash my hands.
Well... shit.
you dont count cuz you're ellie
Just be open with each other and communicate. Learn to trust. It was the same way with my relationship when it started pretty much, especially since our first year we lived 45 minutes away so we only visited each other on weekends and stuff. At some point you have to accept you are being irrational. There is no reason to be jealous and insecure with your relationship unless you have a specific reason. Its easier to stop being this way the longer you are will someone and more used to them to the point where you feel like you know them like the back of your hand. Thats why this past month for me has been so stressful for me because everything I thought I knew about my bf and trusted him with could have been false. The good news was I was wrong and in fact the things I was worried that happened or he was thinking weren't actually going on. But yeah, realize your trust issues might be normal but you should learn to control it and not let it run your relationship. Having open lines of communication and talking semi-often about relationship concerns is a great way to keep things healthy and keep everyone on the same page. My BF was the same way when we first started dating since he was cheated on in his last relationship before mine. He's not like that anymore though.
Thanks for the input man that really helped.
My parents left to Germany for a month (well a bit less than that after they had to rebook because they missed their flight). I'm alone in the house. Exams are on their way in a couple of days and I'll be frantically studying and trying to keep myself, the cat and the house alive. So I listen to Billy Joel sing "Piano Man" because I'm melancholy as [a rude word for sexual intercourse].

That's because Mike Oldfield is a FUCKING GOD.
I'm in a long distance relationship right now, sort of. I'm in the USA and she's in Canada. I've finally received my passport, so I'm visiting as early as the first week of July. Only once we see how that visit goes will we know if we actually work as a couple. If it goes great, I'll be looking to get a work visa and move up there. Thoughts?
Work visas are quite hard to get unless you have professional skills, so you're going to probably need to wait a while before you can get one of those. Otherwise, I hope it really works out very well with you two! Long distance relationships are hard sometimes, but if you two really do love each other then it'll be worth it every minute.

Quadruple what i'd say a traditional relationship takes. They're hard to pull off but not impossible. But in my own opinion, long distance relationships are relationships with all the cons but almost none of the pros.
I've talked to my bf everyday for a year on Steam and never once did I feel distant or anything like that. There's a ton of heartache, sure, but that's pretty much a given and I'm prepared to deal with it if it means we can be together one day. My will to see him is pretty much rock solid and I'm old enough to make decisions on my own. And if I want to see him, I'll do everything I can to do that.
I really couldn't do a long distance relationship without the intention of meeting up within 3 or so months. I really need to be able to interact with the person I'm in a relationship with in real life otherwise it just kills it. The past month and a half have caused a bit of heartache, but I just have to get through the next two weeks and I won't have to worry anymore.
Oops, looks like my phone is officially bricked and even beyond my try at repairing it.
Went out to lunch today, had a 14oz prime rib steak. So fucking good. [editline]15th June 2014[/editline] Fuck, now I'm hungry again.

whelp my sister got kicked out of the house last night.
whelp my sister got kicked out of the house last night.
Aww how come?
Aww how come?
As of late she's been increasingly bitchy and disrespectful to everyone. Just really really toxic to everyone. But what lead up to it, my sister and I were musing about what we wanted for lunch, yadda yadda, I go to my room, do me stuff, and 30 minutes later I hear her yelling and screaming at my dad. It turned out my dad was willing to order pizza, but she was so hell bent on having fast food (even tho when i mentioned i wanted burger king earlier she said "ew i want real food") that she kinda just went into full bitch mode with yelling and door slamming, then ran off with one of her friends. She comes home at midnight with a massive deer tattoo on her leg (where just a week or two ago my mom insisted she didn't get it on her leg) and a septum piercing. Parents get mad over it, but instead of backing down my sister just went into full bitch mode again and got herself kicked out.
