Some guy came in, obviously off his face drunk, and started telling me to cut my hair. Another guy in line said "What if he doesn't want to cut his hair?"

So the drunk guy asked if the other guy has a problem, and asking the guy to punch him.

Eventually the drunk wandered out and the second guy said to me "I know you couldn't say anything, so I said it for you."

He was just being a drunk idiot and happened to do it at a ridiculous time. Note also my dad was down at the shop as well picking me up so if he started a fight it wouldn't have ended that well for him.

Hair thins above the temples first so a middle part will often look wider (less hair on either side) than a side part will, although a side part will bring attention to a widow's peak if you have one.
Everyone experiences [i]some[/i] receding, your best bet is to just ask a hairdresser about it.

Since I asked you guys about how I should get mine cut before; mine is still long since the hairdresser didn't have time to cut it short. Not mid-back anymore though, I'm basically [url=http://i.imgur.com/CqDjAvF.png]Thor[/url] now.
I still like the short one though, might get it done before uni

Mine caused a car accident once. Couple girls in a car slammed into the back of someone's truck at a stop light because they were busy shouting "I LIKE YOUR HAIR *giggles*" out the window. I hope they were being sarcastic so the accident was karma
