If you were rich enough you could live off the interest though.
Not really, any accumulated value by interest would usually be negated a good amount by inflation.

It can't inflate tha- actually you know what, I'm going to admit, I'm not very educated on this subject. Rather than attempt to bullshit my way into an argument, I'm going to stop and try not to make a fool out of myself.

I mean, you sure could live off interest, but you'd just get less effective money out of it over time so it would just be better to invest in the stock market and bonds for higher rates of returns.

Ooooh okay. So make an investment that's likely not to lose value?
So I was playing around in Mass Effect 1 when this happened.

The mass effect series is full of bugs. I would constantly get stuck on the world, the whole geometry of it. Sometimes even in the ceilings. I could easily navigate outside of the normandy and run around the universe.
I'm stuck here

I get stuck so many times and glitch up games constantly.
Oh hey that last one happened to me once.
I distinctly remember shepards body parts discombobulating a number of times before it finally said critical mission failure.
Fun times.

The ai got stuck in animation loops when they got stuck on the world all the time. It stopped getting funny after the first 15 minutes of mass effect 2 for me.
1 hour down, 5 more to go. Then they can send the e-mail to the state. Then I wait 2 weeks and then I can go for my license test.
Goddamn I hate the instructor :v:

Does it even matter if they weren't?
They probably weren't aware of it which makes the picture better. More natural. Besides its not like hes in the corner creepily huddled over his phone taking pictures while chortling under his breath.
Found out I get a months pay as a bonus and free chinese food on the day black milk anounces a UK gig, beautiful

Restaurants and the sort are often considered public venues as they serve the public, even if it is on private property. It's legal as you're technically in public. If they posted a notice prohibiting photography they could have him removed from the premises but that doesn't make the photograph illegal.
My work schedule lightened up, I'm now back to 5 days a week and only 8 hours a day.
Man, the Cable industry is weird sometimes.
Kinda feel like going to the beach soon. Been far too long since I was last at one.
It's such a surreal feeling making such good friends online and ending up meeting them one day. I met one of my close irl friends on Facepunch about 5 years ago and now we end up hanging out for a weekend once a month or so (just mainly due to distance). I didn't meet him in this thread (also not gay) but I just wanted to take a minute and thank Facepunch cause it's brought a lot of entertainment and great people to my life, both online and in real life.
My life was in such a low point for a long while, but things are progressing and I'm thankful for the help and support that was provided by this thread and other friends out there on Steam and Skype. This isn't goodbye, but I've been spending a lot less time on the internet and more time out there trying to find myself and enjoying the great people I have surrounding me again.
Here's a song that maybe some of you can relate to:

I'll also take this moment to apologize for anyone I have ever hurt or harmed along this journey. You're all great people in your own individual ways. I'm sorry if I ever did anything to offend or hurt you.
Facepunch is literally one of the best things that has happened to me in my life so far. I'm more knowledgeable about a lot of things now and I'm more comfortable with myself in public. I've met a lot of my online friends from this site, and I hope to meet some IRL one day.
Thanks to all of you.

most of my steam friends are from fp, although some are no longer on the list, it was always fun to just chat about whatever and occasionally play games together.

ilu erp plz dont go
This really sucks. I feel like Facepunch has helped me a lot as well but every time I find myself feeling in control and like things are going well something happens and suddenly I am sitting at home and I feel very, very small.
Maybe it's because I just came back from a really good holiday with a really wonderful person and now I am back to reality. But I think it's also because my friend who took time to show me Sydney and go shopping with me has about fifty things going for him and it's a little intimidating to hear about his multimillion dollar projects and meanwhile I haven't even really done anything to forward my career. I have spent the last three years being a total lazy dumb dumb sitting in my room 90% of the time and doing nothing.
I'm really freaking out over everything. I don't want to tell anyone in real life because it makes me feel vulnerable I guess (especially since I am very much liable to burst into tears if I even begin to explain out loud). So I whinge here.
It was kinda funny because I was waiting at the airport to go home with my friend and I'd been really good and then the silly decided to play I'm Leaving on a Jet Plane (cover by Jewel) and I just started crying and crying and stopped to tell him this is a silly cover version and crying and crying and stopped to go through security and then kept crying :v:
One of my roommates this fall is going to have the same name as me
