Just got back from volunteer work at a music festival down my street, and I can say I had a pretty good time there. We (me and my mother initially, and then my brother as well later on) left the house at 10 A.M., walked down the road to the village center, then worked until 4 P.M. My mom and I were in charge of an "instrument petting zoo" located in the church, where anyone could pick up something like a guitar, mandolin, ukulele, flute, and some unusual instruments I don't remember the name of, and start playing it. We were there to make sure kids sat down in a chair with the instruments instead of standing up and dropping it like a dumbass, which thankfully nobody did. Occasionally, I'd find someone playing the guitar for the first and second time and I'd help them learn a few basic chords. Things, however, got pretty chaotic by around noon where around 25 people were all playing instruments in a small room at the same time, including at least three recorders. Not very fun at that point. The attention of most people there - including us - was shifted to this guy in an adjacent room who had a [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theremin"]theremin,[/URL] which is that electric instrument thingy that you hear in spooky ghost films. He was supposedly a professional player, and one of the few in this state. I don't know if that's entirely true, it's just what he told us. At around 1 P.M., we went to a farmer's market (or maybe it wasn't called that? Eh, I don't know) and bought some lunch. I wasn't very hungry, so I just got some ice cream, but my mom and brother shared a lobster sandwich. The ice cream I got was a lot better than the chalky crap that we buy from the store, because this tasted like it had actual [I]cream[/I] in it. Very tasty. Along the way we watched some of a concert from what must have been a bluegrass band. After a while, things started to calm down, so my brother - who tried to learn to play guitar in the past - sat down with me and I taught him a few basic things about playing it, and a few basic chords like A, Am, and D. After that, it was almost 4 P.M. so we headed home around then. Overall, it was pretty fun, and I'm thinking of going again next year.

Came out to my parents. It went...somewhat worse than expected, but it's over at least. My mother accepts me, while I don't know if my father ever will.

I dont think I'll ever tell my parents im cool with dating guys, i dont think they'd be intolerant, it's just unnecessary drama. Its not like them knowing im bi now will change jack shit if i decide to get a bf and live with him, then they'll know, otherwise tbh they dont need to know.

I don't want that.
