As said before it wasn't always like this. Facepunch nowadays has a VERY HIGH percent of furries, but back before 2010/2009 it was still really controversial. Just as time went on people stopped caring so much, more people got into it, and then with the dawn of MLP most people just stopped bagging on most furries and would be more like "well at least you're not as bad as THOSE guys". FP is p. furry now.
I mean I kinda like started out this whole furry business in 2009 after being introduced by a certain remix of a certain video by a well-known furry artist but I wasn't even like lurking here during that time, but from as far as I can gather since I've been registered I haven't really seen anyone be an asshole about it.
Have driven a good 1067km in the past 3 days, went to a friend's farm in the middle of no where. Took some star pictures while out there. Also lots of cows [t]https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5587/14905499817_0d31085968_k.jpg[/t]

Oh well there must be somewhere like that I can go nearby.
Holy crap I drank far too much last night, ow ow ow. When an Irish person comes back from abroad there's always a colossal pissup.

Just a wanted to post an update on that DnD like game I'm putting together. This is what I put together so far, https://www.dropbox.com/s/syfyg6ag3oml0pu/DungeonLike2.docx?dl=0 I appreciate anyone who takes the time to skim it and anyone else who gives ideas to add to it. Anything new things to add or ideas to change the game play/rules would be great. Maybe if I'm lucky I can get it published well enough to compete with my brother's card game. Also, small story about DnD itself. My last game, rolled 20 and grabbed an imp out of the air and body slammed it 10ft into spikes. And shortly after, rolled a 20, ripped it in half. DM told me he was planning to use that imp to fuck with us for the majority main game. As some sort of mischievous asshole. Later, during a camp rest, little tree men attacked us. Due to disagreements, I decided that my guy sleeps in the buff, since he apparently used to sleep in caves. So the tree men woke me up, and stabbed me with a branch. I decided to use intimidate and rolled high. I got out and just terrorized the tree men in the nude. Big naked orc man, chasing twigs in the middle of the night. I later passed out due to injures of stabbings by branches.

Mostly intrigue focused stuff with a battle every few sessions. In this Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay we found a cave full of wolves and goblins that assumedly we had to fight. The DM allowed us to use a familiar to find some nearby alpha wolf piss, and then I rubbed it all over me and intimidated the wolves, becoming the alpha wolf. We went on to use the wolves in slaughtering the goblins, and collected some more wolves on the way. Earlier in the same campaign we were invited to what we assumed was a trap, so I came in with the idea of inciting a riot through the area of town where the meeting was to be held, with the intention that a heightened presence of authorities and mob would keep us safe. I neglected to consider that chaos was probably an even better cover for any potential ambushers than silence ever would be. That didn't come into play though. Point is I incited a riot, and it was good. Lots of anonymous NPCs were killed.
Hi all. Posted here a few years back(when I believe there was a entire subforum for us? Perhaps I'm too intoxicated) , on a new account I made for this purpose. Not sure anyone I recall is still around. Well, regardless, just went through and incredibly hard breakup of a relationship of someone I was with for 5 years. Could really use someone to talk to :/
More on this since I just need to vent. We'd dated on and off for those years since physical distance became part of the relationship somewhere after about a year. Since then, it's just been hard for both of us to handle the distance, since we aren't very extroverted people, resulting in us just dropping off the earth until last night, when the underlying problems behind that came out. The real problem I had with the breakup is that she had already gotten with someone else in a period of 5 or so days of us not talking. I don't know. I can't believe this happened. I had a huge breakdown last night and I said some things I shouldn't have, and we're just talking normally now. I know she still prefers me over this new person, I just don't know what to say, do, or even think. I'm just in limbo. Sorry if this isn't cohesive or well put together, I can barely think.

As some test game, my group was playing the local police of a town. At some point we trying to track down a criminal. We split ways in pairs. I was playing a dragonborn with a hammer weapon. We came across an odd vegetable seller. We begun to suspect he was in cahoots with the criminal. We started to interrogate him. Ended up with me launching him across the market with use of my hammer and cart-turned-launch pad. [editline]31st August 2014[/editline]
when you have a decent / creative gm the game is 100x more interesting
This is true, and there is no way to replace a great GM. It's why DnD can be awesome. But I know too many people who can't deal with the paper and pen, or deal with the GMs. I kept joining groups with people having fits with another. So I want to make a game that is easier to grasp and most issues are resolved by a completely unbiased source. Too many games were ended way too early, killing such fun moments. And you can still put together a story with my game, like I said, I want to add to it. Still keep it to a basic system that manages most of the game. Dice will deal with most issues. And I've thought of ways to incorporate more unique items, levels, towns, quests, new lands, and even a way to keep battles to a minimum but still enough.
I totally want to DM something someday. Probably just some campaign out of a book to begin with. I feel like I'd make a fun DM, but I don't really know.
That sucks, long distance relationships are hard :( Maybe the other person is just a rebound relationship?
I hope so. I don't know. I really have nobody to talk to about this because there's lots of factors (who I am, the reason I'm in this thread) being one, that I just don't know what to do. If I try hard enough, I can fix this. I know that for a fact, but I'm not sure if it's just time to be done with it and let go. I'm just so lost, and I feel out of place being in this thread since I can't be on my old account, so nobody would know me. I'm sorry. I'm just lost right now.
Oh god my desk finally looks respectable again now that I cleared it of everything but my mandatory plushie pile. Dusted it too, it had gotten pretty bad behind my monitor, and now there's no more ever-so-slightly sticky rings where cups used to be. I need to get around to cleaning my keyboard though, it's still a little grody. :v:
Beat Far Cry 2 for the first time. Could have been so much better. Extremely weak story, somewhat-bland gameplay but a decent environment.
Beat Far Cry 2 for the first time. Could have been so much better. Extremely weak story, somewhat-bland gameplay but a decent environment.
I'm being completel 100% serious when i say this: Far cry 2 is leagues better than Far Cry 3. Why? because its not streamlined gameplay, requires more thinking, and better tactics. Yes the ai is bad, horrible in fact but fc3's is only MARGINALLY better because they tweaked the stealth system for it. But far cry 2 had a wonderful buddy system in which you'd often find yourself in a bad situation if you liberally used your syrettes. Your buddy gets down and if you dont have a syrette to offer, you have the option of letting them die, or giving them a mercy kill. When they die, they die for good. No trade offs. The weapon system was also fantastic. How weapons actively degrade, and its wonderful for a few reasons. You have to take care of your weapons to be most effective, but certain weapons will work like champs until the end like AK's or any soviet weaponry (seriously). But its lovely because with this system players who are low in level or don't play much are given a golden opportunity to find very powerful weapons used by enemies or at drop off points like certain safehouses. When you find these they are in bad condition but you can still get a few magazines of ammo to fire for them allowing players to toy around with weapons beyond their level. If you didn't pay attention however, and didn't maintain weapons, you ended up shitting yourself in active situations when you get a stove pipe jam on your gun and find yourself click click clicking a jammed gun at an angry guard. The story was complete shit and the addition of malaria really didn't factor in as you only got hit with malaria fits after a full hour of game time, 1 full hour of real life. So if you know what you're doing you will rarely if ever need to get medication. But even if you're incompetent the medication was piss easy to receive thanks to bad ai for missions. But far cry 2 was also not as bogged down as fc3 in terms of like the crafting situation and limited wallets. Far cry 3 also only barely improved upon guard outposts. In 2 when you cleared an outpost if you left and came back it was back in enemy hands. To many this was annoying but its actually a good thing, it means a steady supply of ammo and resources since medkits and ammo also respawn constantly which comes in handy. In 3 when you cleared and outpost you had a small window of time to go back to that outpost and use it as a safe house until after about 20 minutes it falls back into enemy hands. But things don't respawn and you get screwed over a lot. Also, the gameplay world is much better in many regards than 3's. 3's was beautiful but largely had nothing going on aside from some ruins you can go into. 2's environment while more streamlined offered better use of the environment to your abilities. which is ironic given that this was not actually full intentional. Overall far cry 2 has a better feel to it all together than 3. And people who tend to disagree with me here are people who either never played far cry 2 and used second hand info or people who BARELY played far cry 2.
I added Perfect Dark and Mario Kart 64 to my collection today, bring me to 10 N64 games so far. I'm happy.
I've actually yet to complete Perfect Dark. The last mission always kicked my ass for some reason.

Cmon guys if you're gonna disagree with me at least tell me why, this is a place of discussion after all. I'm interested as to why you think fc3 is the better game.

It's a shame because it could be a thoroughly interesting discussion.

Fan Expo Toronto was ok this weekend, still the usual escalator con with over crowding issues and they still sell tickets.

Oh you meant the other thing, yeah it's just a bright star.
It could also be a couple of stars grouped together with a bigger bright star nearby. Or it could be like a thing. I forget what it's called. Bunch of gas floating in the air. Nebula? Anyway. Or it could be what that silly camera tiger said.
