Instead of using a gas heater for water (which "stores up" hot water) he uses an electric heater, which uses electricity to heat water in the pipes on the fly and it won't run out. Downside is it takes a little longer to heat up.

I believe it saves you on your gas bill as well, but cannot confirm. Definitely hikes up your electricity bill though. Dunno if the savings are worth it, haven't seen the usage of both on paper.

You know that stereotype where the young tech-savvy teenager helps out the blundering old person with their computer issues? My 55 year old father just showed my blundering teenage self how to turn text documents into excel files and combine them all together with easy peasy command lines. Then I accidentally closed the command prompt :v: so I couldn't go back and get the code and now I've forgotten it and I don't want to ask him again because he'll be frustrated. The only thing that he kept doing was using forwar- omg I was using forward slash isntead of backslash. He did the same thing but at least he had an excuse because of unix or something.
