Instead of using a gas heater for water (which "stores up" hot water) he uses an electric heater, which uses electricity to heat water in the pipes on the fly and it won't run out. Downside is it takes a little longer to heat up.
It's heat wave time, woo! Heat warning in effect until tuesday, highs of 100-105, meaning my car is going to be 115+. Hoooray!

There are electric heater tank. You probably just mean a tankless water heater.

Whoops, yep. Meant that. I have one of those and it's so great.
I believe it saves you on your gas bill as well, but cannot confirm. Definitely hikes up your electricity bill though. Dunno if the savings are worth it, haven't seen the usage of both on paper.
imagine voluntarily living in florida
As far as I know, only old and retired people want to live in Florida. At least my parents want to go back.
That humidity and heat are dreadful as is. And to top it off, add mosquitoes.

August was funny. One week it's 30C, the next week it's 15C, then the next week it's 24C and then back to 15C..

It's time to sleep.

Found out I have an ear infection and it hurts a whole fucking bunch.
So me, my brother, and my dad all had a combined birthday party today. Had a really nice dinner, had some cupcakes, it was a fun time.

ive had some bad ear infections so i know how it is. just be sure to put your drops in correctly!
only let em stay in your ear for a few minutes. when you're done they're supposed to drain out. if you keep em in for too long the drops will actually go inside your ear and only add to the pressure thats already making your infection so painful
You know that stereotype where the young tech-savvy teenager helps out the blundering old person with their computer issues?
My 55 year old father just showed my blundering teenage self how to turn text documents into excel files and combine them all together with easy peasy command lines.
Then I accidentally closed the command prompt :v:
so I couldn't go back and get the code and now I've forgotten it and I don't want to ask him again because he'll be frustrated.
The only thing that he kept doing was using forwar-
omg I was using forward slash isntead of backslash. He did the same thing but at least he had an excuse because of unix or something.

Finally got myself a Dark Souls game. :B
I have figured out the mystery of tying my hair into a tail.
I feel like Indiana Jones discovering an ancient book on hair or something.

About 80F and overcast all week over here. It's nice.
I go to school in the mountains, and it's getting very cool here.
Fall is very pleasant, but then winter hits and our town secedes from the USA and decides to become a Nordic nation instead.
Playing with existing mods and stacking functionality into them.

Tis going well.
And it's official, I am the worst Dark Souls player ever.
Fucked up my first run barely that far into the first forest, had to start over.
Fucked up the second one even sooner, AND I PICKED THE SAME SHIT.
God I should just stop playing video games.
How did you fuck up? Kill npcs? Level resistance?
Kept dying, lost all my souls and all my effigies, eventually got to the point where there was absolutely no way I could progress.
Twice.

There's always hope in dark souls as long as you keep trying.
If I was a npc in the game I would tell you to not let the dark consume you or some shit.
Meeting a guy I've been talking to online for a while today for the first time, kinda nervous. :v:

I'm sure he's nervous too. No worries, everything starts slow. Once you find something to talk about it'll go smooth.
Attended an interview. 15 applicants in total. One of them was a friend.
There can only be one. Let me fetch my sword..
Is buying a nutribullet succumbing to marketing? (also australia so massively overpriced but still at the moment worth it enough to put me on the fence about it).
I have a hard time at staying awake when I try to watch a movie or clip by laying down on my bed. Its just me falling asleep with my phone on my face :v:
