I've never understood shoe shopping. I have three pairs of shoes. One is a pair of dress-ish shiny-ish black shoes. Then I have one pair of brown shoes with big treads for hiking and gardening and shit. Then I have a pair of black or brown ones for daily stuff. When one of them wears out, I go to Nordstrom or Payless or whatever happens to be closest and buy another pair of the same kind.
I also have a pair of proper boots for rainy muddy work, but I haven't replaced those in years.
Maybe it's just a personal thing.
The upside to waking up early I just found out is I saw a Robin in the garden today.
it was so cuuuute

I own two day-to-day pairs, a work pair and a dress pair, nothing over-the-top
The boyf, as far as i'm concerned, gave the shoes he replaced a viking burial and only has one or two other pairs, and is much like you in having a very modest amount of shoe.
we just chose to be utter fags about it :V
Finally doing something about my stepdad turning off the router randomly, as of the 10th I'll have my own phone line with 80mb up 20mb down fibre broadband
Had gay sex last night. It was awesome!
I want to buy a cycling outfit. I don't ride bikes or anything but I think they look pretty hot to wear. So I had a look in a shop and it's like 50 dollars for the shorts alone.
I could buy an entire outfit from this cycling anime with homoerotic subtext for that price, in much nicer colors. Why even bother with the real thing.
To be fair, if you are buying anything specific for a specific hobby, things start to get expensive.

I dont know why, but i have the sudden urge to have a Cards Against Humanity online game.
Any of you guys up for it?

I just want a plain black pair of the shorts because they're cute as hell, but they're always covered in branding or racing stripes :v:

All of my hobbies are expensive. It seems like a requirement for something to be called a hobby is that it needs to be expensive.

The racing stripes make you go faster though.
I have a pair with the padded parts but they are slightly too big. I imagine if you got a pair that fit they'd feel lovely.

Because one is a costume for fetishists and the other is the real thing that doesn't wear out from rubbing on the seat or movement of your legs, and wicks away sweat.
[editline]28th September 2014[/editline]
Your post looked like you thought people only bought cycling clothing for fetish reasons lol.

I have the actual thing, whole set, and yes, they do feel quite comfortable, especially around some private parts. But I don't see why would you spend so much money on that just because it looks hot and feels good. Then again, getting something that isn't meant for the purpose it was designed for in the first place will probably end up not being that good if it goes for that cheap.
Basically, get the real thing if you will use it. Otherwise it's just straight up waste of money.
Speaking of which, I am wearing my set right now because I just got back from biking. Not really wanting to take it down, it really does feel comfortable.
Yeah it'll probably feel like shit and not fit as well.
My old friend from school invited me to play Lasertag with him. This is going to be an amazing day.

Why buy my equipment from a sports store when I can get it from anime fetish sites for a quarter of the price?[/QUOTE]
But if you aren't going to be riding a bike, there's no point in paying for that stuff. As long as they're comfy and look nice, who cares if they aren't functional
Why buy a stage prop when I could pay four times as much for the real thing?
Cool new avatar.

I did say I'd get it because I'd like to just wear it. I'm not paying out the ass for the real thing when I'm not interested in actually using it. It's more of a turn on than actual necessity, which is why I don't want to pay for expensive things when it's essentially not going to be used for actual bike riding, just for the appearance and feeling of it.
I dunno why the assumption was "I'm buying cosplay for riding bikes" when I specifically said I don't want to ride bikes, I just like the look of the outfit. Which is something that can be easily done with a cheaper non-professional alternative.
It was more how you were surprised how the real thing actually costs more than the fake costume.
I'm not saying stop, I'm not the chat police lol.

I know, but he was posting like it's the same thing or the main reason people buy cycling clothing is for anime fetishes :v:.
[editline]28th September 2014[/editline]
Fuck I didn't mean to post this much, I don't give a shit what people are into either.

i know what anime you're talking about and it was awkward walking around in akiba seeing lifesize cardboard cutouts of homoerotic cycling anime
on the other hand it was akiba
i understood some of those words
[editline]28th September 2014[/editline]
wow I went to buy a cop outfit because i think they look great but turns out this fetish one i found on the internet is cheaper
I'm glad that my fetishes are for things that aren't difficult to obtain like plaid boxers and flannel shirts.

They don't even sound half as good as vastly superior pillows.
