maybe some people want to find out their history and be more appreciative of where they came from
if it wasnt for them doing what they did they might not even exist
Hence why I said "it's cool knowing who they were and what they did".
I don't know I think it's kind of pointless. It's not part of your heritage or anything. Sure knowing who he is and what he did is cool but acting like your great grandfather having polish gives you "polish heritage" is kinda bull. Your parents were born and raised in the US and so were you.
America is a cultural melting pot isn't it? The English setteled the east coast, the French took the south and Quebec. Spain took the west.
Since We declared Independence, we've seen waves of different cultures coming into America, Arabs, Europeans, Asians, Islanders, etc.
We call ourselves Americans, but America is made up of the entire planet earth and her inhabitants.
Despite all this America doesn't have a unique culture in any way

Yeah sure but my point is it seems like Americans in general tend to know and claim they're "1/16th Irish and 1/32th german" or whatever like it's a big deal.

Why are you having breakdowns if i may ask?

You're Dead is really good, one of my favorite albums this year. I might be a bit biased because Cosmogramma is my favorite electronic album ever, though.
I still can't move my pinky :c
Right now I'm trying to apply for a grocery store.
It's online apply only, but Imma keep on it, I'll get it eventually.

say "Oh! I'm so sorry!" and try to rub the saliva off.
Pull his pants down and go "Oh no! It's on your underwear too!".

Didn't this come up some time ago, with him saying he really wanted to do another season?
Well it's good to know your roots.
Maybe I had a great grandfather who fought in the Polish resistance, I would love to know his story.
Or maybe he was a German who fought in the trenches of WWI.
Like a weeaboo but for Europe. Europaboo.
Edit: when do you stop being Irish and start being American?

When it comes to their roots, Americans tend to identify as both <x> and American. Like Irish-American, Italian-American, Japanese-American, or whatever. I'm assuming it has to do with the whole America being built off immigrants and the families that came over heavily emphasized remembering your roots/cultural heritage and to continue those traditions in America.
So I guess the answer is never, since they don't identify themselves as just one, but a hodgepodge of them both and it's not something that can really just disappear considering how America "grew up" so to speak.
I'm just a mix of things but everyone calls me Canadian, despite having no familial/genealogical ties to Canada.
Knowing and being proud of your history is part of the whole America being made up primarily of immigrants thing
A piece of the American culture, you could say
What are some subtle ways to hint to a guy that you're interested in them?
Do this:
"Coffee sometime?"
Don't do this:
Be slightly more physical than normal. Not over-so, but not being afraid of breaking a little personal space to brush his sides, have your arm rest on him or something along those lines. If its making him uncomfortable then stop, obviously though. Some people just don't react to that sort of thing at all well.
Compliments that are apropreate for the context. Don't go "hey, you look hot" or anything out of left field (unless you think they'd really react good to that, but chances are they don't if you need advice on being subtle). But if he looks good don't be afraid to let him know. Don't be afraid to let him see your eyes checking him out.
If it really seems like he's not catching on, then you might need to be more blunt or take a hint that he's not interested.
Mostly just act natural and get to know him. Hang out and do stuff together to pick up on him and learn more things about him. Doing that is the easiest way to show a guy you are interested in him because you'll naturally come interested and learn about each other just by being around him. This obviously takes time though and takes becoming a friend first. But its a good way to go about it if you have the time to and are really bad at flirting/hinting.
Unless you're naturally very flirty and you do that all the time. Just ask. Not that I practice what I preach because it takes a helluvalot to get up the nerve but if he is a rational person the two outcomes from asking is yes and no (oh and maybe). The other stuff has probably the same outcomes except it takes a lot longer to get to them and there is plenty of room for error on the way.
If he isn't interested in you enough to say yes or maybe now, then no amount of flirting will change that. Or if you really want to play the long game just try and be friends and do the last five sentences of what KorJax said.
I'm 100% European, am I special?
I'm Canadian, Quebecois and Cambodian.
Came out to my dad today.
It went better than I ever could have hoped for. I was expecting him to not accept me, but he merely told me that in the end, all that matters to him is that I'm happy.
I love my father.
I'm very slightly German, enough to have the last name, otherwise I'm just Australian :v:
I don't even know what I am, other than that some percentage of me is Polish I guess.
I'm Russian and a teeny bit Hungarian.
I'm half bird half dog half man
Half Aussie Half Kiwi
I'm 50% Aussie and 50%, at least, according to the passports I have.
