what I don't understand is that he says that even though it appears to be a slam dunk case, it really isn't - but then they go and make a 6 minute video talking more about this dude. I'm not sure what legal counsel they've got but no lawyer capable of passing the BAR exam would ever give the go-ahead to a video like this, especially if there's an active pending lawsuit. the only way they could get away with it is if they were seriously convinced that they will win. if not, this new video is going to cause a fuckton of problems

I agree. I know this is very important but idk if the video was necessary. The last thing that's going to help ethan is having rabid fans send death threats to bold guy and trying to access his social media accounts/ personal information.

Even then, what fans do in retaliation is on them, not h3h3.

on the flip side though, if bold guy loses this his youtube career is fucking over for good. it already is by now, but if he loses the case he'll really have nothing left

Anything the fans do is going to be blamed on him, and he's going to end up looking worse.

I think it's a shitty side effect of the legal system that you're able to incur enormous cost to pretty much anyone both financially and in terms of their time just by suing them. Like it could be an open and shut lose for you but it's still costing your opponent time, energy and money. It's unfair, and allows people to just be a dipshit and cost you money for no reason
