Imagine the implications of youtubers being able to sue eachother over petty disagreements and for whatever hypothetical reason fair use didn't exist any more.
The idea that people could even hustle money out of people via threatening them through a lawyer is dangerous.
If that became extremely commonplace, That would legitimately end youtubes stability for a LOT of content creators, I'm pretty sure at that point tons of youtubers would rather do retail than get sued for saying naughty things about someone.
Obviously the case they have against them is a complete joke, though. This lawyer is, in all honesty, might actually be scamming BoldGuy to get him to pay him. I'm no law study, but the emotional plea + blatantly incorrect information shows me how big of a joke this is.
That and obviously fair use laws exist, and work, so that would never happen.

I'm glad there's so much support for h3h3. Maybe the higher ups at Youtube will finally understand that they need to rework their copyright system.
It's not really surprising to see even normally kinda shitty youtubers donating to this considering the precedent this could set in the unlikely event that h3h3 would lose or settle unfavorably.

Every YouTuber, big or small has to get behind this. No matter what you think of h3h3, if you love him or if you hate him, fair use affects us all.
If h3h3 loses this case (highly doubt it), it doesn't affect h3h3, it affects all of us. It sets a legal standard that there is no such thing as fair use and that in return kills freedom of speech.
So this case is quintessential, Ethan has to win this or the case has to be thrown out, the guy suing Ethan cannot win
