and both end up in some redneck's fridge.
A fridge developed through the power of archived knowledge and mechanical automation.
Yeah, but I'm not saying war is going to bring us down, as your are right, it has advanced us. But the seemingly inability to work as a whole is what's going to be our end, and our apparent greatness is what may be our ends; Omnipotence does come with it's drawbacks. EDIT: Yes technology may get us through tough times, but will it help us end man's inhumanity to man (and animals). Off Topic: Yes, I am a very pessimistic individual, but I do lighten up when I see through the visage that is my misanthropy. Let alone awesome technological achievements are awesome.
Are you fucking kidding me? We have 300,000,000 give or take, people, just in the USA, working, doing their jobs, what have you, to end up with the society we live in here. How the fuck is that an "inability" to work as a whole?
About a few years ago I heared that every 2 seconds, 5 babies are born, and about 3,5 people die. Meaning 150 babies per minute, and 105 people die. Thats 45 people per minute extra. I think this is still a lot, but It's better than a whopping 600 babies extra per 2 minutes. And you can't just round 2 minutes to 1 minute for it to be easy OP, that's just plain dumb. How would you like it if your salary was halved because your boss thought it'd be easier lol.

Not actually having everyone employed (but that would be nice).
Thats a lot of babies.
