Boston Dynamics has been making huge strides as of late. I wonder if the recent increase in public interest of neural networks is relevant to their progress?
I'm also impressed with how we can finally see how different bipedal creatures similar in shape to human with hugely different weight distribution handle themselves. I'm noticing how it's having to crouch down and absorb a lot of the weight after landing, since i'm assuming it's legs aren't strong enough to support it yet. Yet the fact that it can do fuckin backflips is incredible.
