Ugh, Rupert Murdoch is one of the many scum of the earth. I know someone will take his place, but why can't he just die of old age already? Every country he seems to have a major presence in is polluted to some degree by his agenda. Has this guy done any good for the world at all besides the typical evil businessman practice of donating to charity to make yourself look good?
To channel Seven, Nine and Ten it seems cheap.
Just my personal opinion.
Channel Ten is the only channel with great comedy shows because they're mostly Australian produced and I love the Project, Nine is for soccer mums and Seven is for people who want to avoid every dodgy person in the universe
GetUp are notorious Anti-Liberal shit-stirrers. I'd take any of their "claims" with a big ol' grain of salt.
I think they're on the money with this one.
What I would like to see is all the channels dedicated to 24 hour infomercials gone.

And remove the fucking tagline "Freeview offers more than Foxtel" because it doesn't
Oh shit.
What's really stupid about the infocommercial channels is that they limit the already tiny bandwidth allocated to a station. So for every new infocommercial channel, the potential picture quality of the other channels on the network's band drop.
I really think TV bandwidth should be better regulated, "spam" channels are a waste of time and energy.

Here's a forum post with what I'm talking about: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2185666

The reason they're doing this is to make more money than regular advertising on other networks, channel 10 is greedy for having 2 dedicated infomercial channels and 9 for having a timeshift channel
For people who have no idea what we're talking about, digital television networks are given limited bandwidth to broadcast on Digital airwaves, they can have as much channels as they can on their bandwidth and have to follow regular broadcasting agreements
SBS and ABC Don't have to follow this because their government regulated
ABC has:
ABC1, ABC2/ABC4KIDS, ABC3, ABC News 24 (HD)
SBS:
SBS one, SBS 2, SBS Three (Simulcast of SBS), SBS One HD, NITV
7:
7, 7 Two, 7 mate (HD), TV4ME (infomercials)
9:
9, GO!, Gem, eXtra + eXtra 2/ GOLD + GOLD 2 (Infomercials)
10:
10, 11, One (HD), TVSN (infomercials), SpreeTV (infomercials)

Absolutely, it's a fucking joke
Aw I can't sign but I like ABC. I was interviewed on ABC about my photography when I was there backpacking.
