My area doesn't have many cool places to eat. Da Kine Diegos is kind of original I think. Its a super relaxed surfer-type atmosphere (its next to the beach in Florida): And they have some delicious, filling burritos. That is the second largest size. The largest is only a bit bigger (60 cents more). Sometimes they host movie nights on a big outdoor projector. 1360 State Road A1A Satellite Beach, FL 32937 Oh and Mustard's Last Stand: http://www.mustardsinc.com/ Last time I went there I got a hotdog wrapped in bacon, deepfried, and covered in chili and cheese. It was absolutely delicious.

If you travel to Arizona, there's a great place in scottsdale called cowboy ciao (i believe that's the name) try their house salad with avacado, it's phenomenal.

Austin, Texas - County Line, Torchy's Tacos, Mother's, Hula Hut, Kerbey Lane, Veggie Heaven, Madam Mam's.
Casey's Diner in Natick, MA. Greatest hot dogs I've ever had in my entire life. I know the owners personally, and our families have been bros since at least the 40s. Apparently, their hot dogs are specially made, so you can't buy them anywhere else. They also serve burgers and pies (the dessert kind, not the pizza kind). It's a bit small (standing room only, if all 10 chairs are taken), but it's really cozy and really friendly. The current record for most hot dogs eaten in one sitting there is 36. And no, the guy didn't die as soon as he finished.
Being from the UK that made no sense to me because our pies look like this: No pudding pies, no pizza pies; just meaty meat pies for tea.
I'm probably late, but if you come to New York and don't get a hotdog at Nathan's, you're a bad tourist.
How the fuck do you even fit that in your mouth?
Knife and fork buddy.

Oh god, I'd die. And you English say Americans aren't healthy.
I'm probably late, but if you come to New York and don't get a hotdog at Nathan's, you're a bad tourist.
Nathan's hot dogs are over rated, IMO [editline]I successfully revived a thread![/editline]
Place in New Jersey called Sweet Jenny's. Unfortunately, it burned down and the owner does not wish to rebuild. He was a bro, gave me his one-of-a-kind hot sauce bottles. Rich fucker has a wife selling jewelry in china.
If you're ever in Southeastern Connecticut, you absolutely have to stop in Mystic, in the downtown area, there's so many awesome shops that all have amazing food. Including: Mystic Pizza (Yeah, there was a movie based on this place.) Drawbridge Ice Cream Some of the best ice cream in the country, their ice cream comes from dairy farms only 10 miles away. Plus, when you're enjoying your ice cream, you can watch the bridge go up. Fun Fact: It's only one of the last two Bascule bridges left in the world. I'm jealous :( This thread makes me hungry. We have like no restaurants etc where they sell food like this here in Norway. Though on my first trip to NY I ate a really good breakfast at a place called "Metro Diner". It also felt like I was thrown into a movie. The italian chef, who yelled a lot and was in a good mood. The middle-aged waitress who I remember saying "What can I get ya, hun?" :v:
Im from Philly, and of course the world famous Pat's and Geno's Philly cheese stakes. And actually just last night The owner of Geno's died of a heart attack. -Kinda ironic eh?

"The Smoke Shack" in Boscawen, New Hampshire. Some of the Hot Sauces and shit they sell there: The booths, it's a nice little place: I wish I had a picture of their burgers, but they're some of the best burgers ever. Meaty as shit. There is also a special burger you can order called the S.S. Inferno, which only 3 people have ever finished I guess.
I hope anyone in the Austin area has said either Torchy's Tacos or Chuy's. I know both are starting to expand, but they originated here and they're fucking delicious.

Bacon Breakfast Burrito w/ Extra Potatoes. Fucking fantastic.
If you're ever in Providence, RI for any reason, go to Baja's Tex-Mex by Brown University. Best Mexican food in the entire world. And if you're willing to take a 40 minute drive, Crazy Burger in Narragansett, RI is also a great eat.
Blake's Family Restaurant in Manchester, NH - I used to work here and they have some great food. The Airport Diner in Manchester, NH Dion's in Las Cruces, NM or Alburquerque, NM - I work here at the one in Cruces currently, and it's definitely worth a try.
In Saint Louis I would have to say This place even tho it doesn't have burgers it sells Christmas trees in the winter :D Ted Drewes Frozen Custards (and Christmas trees?) Since 1929 http://www.teddrewes.com Also Ted had a cousin named Merb that owned a candy store called Merbs Candys its still around and they have a special you get a free Bionic Apple (Carmel, Chocolate and Nuts or just a Carmel Apple with Nuts) when the Cardinals hit a Homerun (or something like that)
Check out Divers Drive-ins and Dives on youtube or something, he's pretty much done everything you're trying to do OP, got all the places that look interesting anyway.
Check out Divers Drive-ins and Dives on youtube or something, he's pretty much done everything you're trying to do OP, got all the places that look interesting anyway.
I'm pretty sure it's diners, not divers. And OP already said she hates Guy Fieri
Chicago Bob's, it's an awesome hot dog place in Fountain Hills, AZ. Definitely the best Chicago food I have had outside Chicago. [t]http://thesonoranlifestyle.files.wordpress.com/2011/06/imag0054.jpg[/t] The guy on the left is Bob, the owner. He is very friendly and does not allow ketchup on a hot dog.
Ellies 50's Diner in Delray Florida, amazing super cool atmosphere.
