i really want him to do a video on Deus Ex. ahoy is the best youtuber around. hes extremely humble and does this just for fun and he does so much research into any topic he speaks about.
And the audio he uses along with his narrative is perfect. I love his video on Quake. Its excelent.
Ever since Stargate I've loved this SMG
The best use was in the later seasons when Teal'c just straight-up used 2 at once.
The best use was in the later seasons when Teal'c just straight-up used 2 at once.
Pfft. Imagine not using a boat full of mind-controlled, p90 equipped hot female soldiers to fire all the p90s at once by making finger guns. Speaking of, remembering said scene made me think that this could be an interesting VR experience since your body will not be confused from the lack of physical recoil. Actually, a whole spinoff MGS where you play as Ocelot using his nanomachine hang gestures magic sounds like a fun idea.
The best thing about Teal'c using the P90 is when he casually strolls through enemy fire while one-handing a P90 throughout several episodes.

Recently rewatched stargate. And yeah, P90 has been my favourite ever since I was kid.
Yeah but "A SMG uses pistol rounds" followed by 'the P90 uses the same ammo as this pistol' can seem pretty odd when trying to explain why the P90 isn't a SMG.
It's to do with ammo design. A normal pistol round has a big fat bullet going relatively slowly. Modern rifle and intermediate rounds use proportionately skinnier bullets that go much, much faster. The 5.7x28mm round used by the P90 and 5-7 is designed more like the latter than the former. For reference, the standard NATO pistol round has a bullet diameter of 9mm and goes at around 400m/s, the standard NATO intermediate round has a bullet diameter of 5.56mm and goes at over 900m/s and 5.7x28mm has a bullet diameter of 5.7mm and goes at 716m/s.
The SBP-90 and the SBP-500 were the tits Shame the 500 wasn't dual-wielded
I hope he does an episode on the pp-19 bizon, something about the way that gun looks and sounds is super cool to me
I hope he does an episode on the pp-19 bizon, something about the way that gun looks and sounds is super cool to me
Bit of a Russian upside-down P90 really :v:
Are there any submachine guns (or PDW) that are made very recently (less than 5 years)?
Bit of a Russian upside-down P90 really :v:
It's just an AK action in 9x18mm with a pringles mag
It's the other way around, though. It's 'A PDW uses a type of intermediate caliber rounds' and 'the Five-seveN uses the same ammo as this PDW'. It's easier to say that the Five-seveN uses rifle ammo even though it's not strictly correct because the FN 5.7×28mm was made specifically with the P90 in mind. There isn't really an analogue for it.

they use the same cartridge, the cartridge was designed for the P90 for higher penetrative capabilities than a pistol round. the fiveseven pistol was designed to use the same cartridge.

It's to do with ammo design. I was pointing out how people who don't know anything about guns would be confused by the concept of a PDW being defined as not using pistol rounds being paired with a pistol that uses the same ammo.
It's just an AK action in 9x18mm with a pringles mag
If only pringles cans ejected the chips at you like a Bizon mag can
If only pringles cans ejected the chips at you like a Bizon mag can
Daily reminder that the Bizon in BF3 had the lowest per-bullet damage of any gun in the game, requiring between 6 to 8 bullets to kill (most guns required between 3 to 5). There was a reason people called it the paintball gun.
is there a source on that background droning he uses in his videos
The full Ahoy experience:
Are there any submachine guns (or PDW) that are made very recently (less than 5 years)?
Generally it takes a few years for guns to get adopted by various groups and become notable. If you want to see new SMGs go to a defence/arms expo. Loads of companies trying to sell their guns.

Newest one I can think of would be the Kriss Vector smg(2009), which, while looking real nifty, is nothing more than a range toy.
The best depiction in my opinion is from MGS2 with how Solidus uses it Spins that shit about like a revolver (2:00)
Are there any submachine guns (or PDW) that are made very recently (less than 5 years)?
Probably lots, it's just that maybe 95% of them will never go into production.
