That's really not the point in the first place, though. I suppose I trailed off. My point was in the first place that it wasn't a bug, it's just how they chose to make it.
So your point is that it was intentional? Does that make it any less broken? Bug's a bug, doesn't matter if you overlooked it, were too lazy to fix it, or didn't care about it.
-aaa fuck snip nvm feel free to rate dumb tho-
It's for optimization. If you haven't noticed, it's very low poly and the textures are very low res. It's meant to populate the distant area around you to a degree, not to climb on.
I don't understand how does that matter. It's within map boundaries, there is no excuse for lacking collision model. Your explanation would be valid if you couldn't get to it without using any bugs/hacks. If it was intentional then it's even worse. Overlooking a bug I can understand, leaving it because you were too lazy or didn't care is worse.
You're not intended to go running through the offmap debris either, it saves memory and shit to just leave it as a basic mesh.
lol well thats odd because I don't remember massive amounts of clipping and being able to go outside of the map easily to spawnkill / being able to spawn kill in mass part of many other games at all
It's for optimization. Also the extremely scripted NPC's that don't move their heads at all and scripted scenes, and yet hl1 had npcs that looked at you, and hl2 went beyond that. there's NO excuse for lazy devs. CoD has the fact of being made in a very short amount of time. If they spent real time on it and didn't reused things, that'd help. I used to play mw1 and mw2 a lot and you were able to make jumps to areas that would give you a hidden advantage you easily shouldn't have, there were a lot of them.

That was my favorite part about previous CoD games.
jeez a guy posts a video poking fun at some minor bugs in a new game and the ACTIVISION DEFENSE FORCE shows up and tears him a new asshole for it. not everything is an attack on your precious military shooters.
ACTIVISION IS THE FUCKING PUBLISHER. Not the developer, get it right
Wait, that's BO2? That's the first gameplay I've seen of it why is it still brown, why is everyone still using old-looking weapons isn't this supposed to be the near future fuck you, treyarch!
Some parts of the game take place in the BO1 time in afghan, The scene on the boat was one of those.
My RC-XD once fell through the map out of no where
Still looks like a decently fun game though, great to let off some steam after a long day.
It's seriously the only CoD I ever had fun playing. I recommend checking it out.
entertaining that it's playing fallout music yknow, bug central
lmao calling the Ink Spots "fallout music"
lmao calling the Ink Spots "fallout music"
He's mainly referring to Fallout 3 (although some of The Ink Spots songs were featured in Fallout 1-3,) since that game had a crazy amount of bugs.
Got kind of excited when everyone on Facepunch was like "It's totally different" Tried it, still shit.
Playing a game while thinking "UGH THIS IS GOING TO BE SHIT" kind of changes your experience, you know.
I only kept watching after 10 seconds because of the music :v:
Expected footage of the map leaking or something got a fire extinguisher clipping into the wall oh no an object clipping into the wall 0/10 worst game ever
lmao calling the Ink Spots "fallout music"
im willing to bet money the person who made the video found out about the song via fallout tell me i'm wrong
im willing to bet money the person who made the video found out about the song via fallout tell me i'm wrong
nice assumptions even then calling it a fallout song is wrong and stupid. this is a fallout song.
He is saying that it popularized the song. So it wouldn't be entirely invalid to associate the song with fallout.
yeah the point is that the song was in fallout (bug central) and it was less work and was easier to get the joke to say "fallout song" than "a song popularized by fallout 3" I love it when people get all riled over semantics
im willing to bet money the person who made the video found out about the song via fallout tell me i'm wrong
you are wrong I liked the ink spots way before fallout /hipster
you are wrong I liked the ink spots way before fallout /hipster
Holy shit, it doesn't even matter.
