Touch screen SENSORS WEAR OUT
Not nearly as fast as those old fashioned clickety things.
"I simply love it. It does everything I want it to do." you answered your own question
Owned. Also, the blackberry is pretty ugly and does everything the iPhone does. Except is uglier. So if I had a choice I would take the iPhone for that reason.
You don't own an iPhone and yet you made a list of reasons your Blackberry is better than it? :saddowns:
Why don't we get an über hiptop slide? Then you can have your schtooped physical keyboard :D [editline]03:40AM[/editline]
Touch screen SENSORS WEAR OUT
You know there are touch screen blackberrys right D: [editline]03:41AM[/editline]
Owned.
Wow aint i pimp with my iphone If your gonna try impress someone do it properly Get a fucking phone with an actual keypad
What? Real buttons impress you? It is just a phone man, if the phone someone is using impresses you, you are making friends for the wrong reasons.
There was this big thing in my school when all the "cool kids" had iPhones.
I would understand why they want the iPhone though, cause of the Music and all that :p
Why would you spend $400-500 on a device you only use for music?
it's one of the most secure phones in the world.
It may be "secure" but how do you know for sure when everything is closed source and the email gateway servers are controlled by somebody other then you?
The trackball thing makes it awesome.
It's good for older people and people who would need it (like a businessmen or whatever), but when I see a fucking 16-19 year old using one I fucking rage... I don't see why a kid would need a Blackberry, I would understand why they want the iPhone though, cause of the Music and all that :p I'm 16, but i'd rather have a cheap little Nokia and spend money on something worthwhile, rather than go and blow loads of money on a fucking expensive ass phone. A cheap Nokia still gets the job done, who gives a fuck what other people think?
I used to think like this. But then i realized something. ALOT of phones these days do the EXACT SAME THING. They just look different. Blackberry: email internet full keyboard Phone LG Voyage: email internet full keyboard phone Iphone: email internet full keyboard Phone music LG Env: email internet full keyboard phone The only actual difference is the style! Sure they were really meant for business type people, but back then this was the only phone that had all this. Now almost every phone does. Also i'm gettting a blackberry curve soon, i'm buying myself the actual phone, however my parents are paying the cell phone bill. I'm also not going to get internet and email* since i don't need that and my ipod can do the same as long as im near wifi. *=My service provider allows me to omit internet abilities.
I still prefer my iPhone. Also isn't 14.2mm huge for a phone? My iphone has got to be slimmer than that
I have an Ipod Touch 1gen and have had it for 3 years there great... although I'm in with some of the retarded mac fans... Once the ZuneHD comes out I'm going to sell my Ipod Touch
Why would you spend $400-500 on a device you only use for music?
You spend $400-500 if you buy it without a service plan :downs: The iPhone 3G 8GB costs 99€ (in Europe at least). It's still expansive, but not THAT expansive.
Why would you spend $400-500 on a device you only use for music?
he Said thats a plus for it. anyways if he only wanted it for music it, just get an Ipod Touch for like $200
he Said thats a plus for it. anyways if he only wanted it for music it, just get an Ipod Touch for like $200
I sold my iPod Touch for 160€ on eBay, and I bought an iPhone 3G for 143€ (brand new, not on eBay) :v:
Touch screen FTW Trackball is kinda limited
Blackberry phones are great because they were invented in Canada. Everything invented by Canadians are great, like phones, basketball and robotic arms.
To be honest I don't really like the blackberry. The first thing is the small screen which could be made a lot bigger if the keyboard was a slide out one, it's like having Windows and stretching your taskbar half way across the screen, that's what it feels like when I look at the front of a blackberry. The camera is of average quality, around 3 megapixels is average, around 5 is good, and if you can get any better then you most likely have a phone designed for taking pictures. I haven't used a blackberry, so that might make my argument obsolete. Maybe it has good apps and the screen is not that bad
I researched heavily between Palm Pre, Blackberry, and iPhone. Honestly, I find the iPhone's touch interface to be vastly superior to any of the others, even if it's battery life is lacking. Also, the native support for pdf and the very progressive community were a huge plus. The palm pre was much easier to develop software on and meant I wouldn't have to use a Mac virtual machine to write software. I found the blackberry's buttons to be way too small and maybe it was the display model, but sometimes I had to hit a button 3-4 times to get it to do anything. In the end, I chose iPhone for the simple fact that AT&T is the only 3g provider in my area and the fact that there was a free Pandora app for the iPhone. I absolutely do not regret this decision. All of the Mac fanboys on the apple forums are extremely annoying and absolutely under no circumstances should you ever admit that you own, use, or even think about using any microsoft products while on their forum. I just like to get the most out of software. Windows does more than mac and linux, iPhone's software does more than palm pre and blackberry. I wouldn't be surprised if palm went completely touchscreen and streamlined an app store though. Blackberry's app store is taking off like a rocket, but for now apple has the upper hand. Also, 32GB flash memory is amazingly handy. I can use it as a wireless flash drive simply by connecting to wifi and pointing an internet browser to my iphone's local address.
What about the LG PRADA Guys?! Sure its a bit old and a bit crap. And scratches like hell, but hey! Its lasted me the longest of many phones and im writing this comment on it right now! Just downloaded opera mini for it. <3

I'm also not going to get internet and email since i don't need that and my ipod can do the same as long as im near wifi.
You cannot get any smart phone without a data plan, which usually runs you about $30/month. I don't mean you shouldn't, I mean your service provider will deactivate your phone for not having internet on it. Besides, why get a smart phone if you're treating it like a dumb phone?
I remember in Japan that everyone had these huge-ass flip phones I think I only saw one iPhone in two weeks of traveling
In japan those huge ass phones act as a credit card and are about 30 times better than a American phone. Look at the features of the cheapest phone in japan and compare it to a phone here in America.
i like them cause they make you look like a boss :c00lbert:
(8)like a boss(8) Oh god that was so funny, loved it

It's required. The only reason why I'm not getting one.

Why would you waste your money if you're 14-18, on a phone that you don't use half of the material. Hell, there's some girls at my school (old school) that have blackberries. forgot this You can get a microphone/headset combo at the mac store which you can use with your ipod touch. That's one of the ways to have a free phone, you just have to be in a wifi area.
Not to be a dreailer, but I'm just stating that the iPhone has been by far the best purchase I have made to date. I could rant about it's awesomeness, but I'll leave that for the Apple subforum. Haha.
I'm going to buy the iPhone 3 GS. :smug:
A Blackberry is so awesome because it has BRICK BREAKER!
Blackberry phones are great because they were invented in Canada.
