I personally hate blackberries. May have amazing battery life but programs are all everything you get from them. Hardware is slow. Just overall nonsense its just some cheap normal phone like an lg with the interface of a smartphone.
Get windows mobile or android those are real smartphones like a mini computer.
I love being able to use torrents and use full internet control my computer, and be able to call and text friends all at once on my touch pro.
They pull the same stuff as apple they advertise as the best so retards think they are the "best".
And you cant really deny a jailbreaked Iphone is one of the most amazing phones besides winmo and android handsets.
Also Article says it beats a $300 cameras quality. Most retarded thing I've heard all day anyone with half a brain can find an amazing camera for 300$, Oops forgot 65% of americans only have a quarter of usable brain matter.

Really worth 40$ a month. Most people don't know text messages use same protocols as email and most phone plans come with an email for free it just takes half a brain to look at phone settings or ask your provider. Sprint gave me an email I have it as a bookmark on gmail to send anything I'd need on the go to use.( That was before I got my Tp)
Apps. Every phone has apps just blackberry blatantly says hey look at our wall of apps recognize any of these providers?
Most of these are just a mobile webpage or simple program written up with the service's Api's.
Simple things that most phones have built in or available on mobile site or program. Thats on a dumbphone.
Almost all smartphones have an equivalent of blackberry's prestigious apps. Only thing I see missing is Slacker internet radio. But you can use it in flash enabled browsers anyway.
And OMG!!11 a physical keyboard how Revoultionary!
Its a keyboard people most phones have that and any phone operating system has a phone with a keyboard. Its just stupid they say look we have a keyboard when every phone beforre touchscreen has had one,(or number pad),and most BB's have a gimped 2 letters per button keyboard its pretty fucking stupid to type.

Got a little worked up there. Calm blue ocean, calm blue ocean. I (like you) have a large interest in phones, but I don't hate people or call them stupid for buying a phone that I wouldn't of bought. And besides, after looking at the American phones on offer over there, I would just import one from Europe, where they are FAR better. Im glad I live in England. ....Even If I have an LG Prada. :P
I used to get all the touch screen phones but got sick of the touch gimmick and ended up going back to buttons. The iPhone had the only decent touch screen, every other phone I tried had that crappy pressure touch thing.
I still use my trusty Nokia N95. Does me well.

I just have a shitty AT&T basic phone, I dropped it a couple times and it still works, but then I dropped it one day on my carpet and the display on the mini-display on the outside of the phone was backwards.

As for all that other fancy stuff I'd prefer something like a "smart" media player. I'm constantly on the edge weather or not I should get the ZuneHD when it comes out or not, or just invest in a netbook.
iPhone wins hands down.
I got rid of mine, though.
I realized Apple doesn't have the customer in mind - I cancelled my handset when the contract expired.
If I could have something more along the lines of Android, save the Google branding, I'd be very happy.

I'd personally go with a netbook, although those are showing signs that the market may just be a fad.
