Looked cool at first and seemed like a nice opportunity to apply some real tactics, but then there's the fact you have to call hits and you can't shoot people too close and you have to say bang instead. That just seems so silly.

[editline]25th October 2015[/editline] And what's wrong with having to call your hits? How are people supposed to know to stop shooting you?
I never saw the appeal of airsoft over paintball aside from maybe that its cheaper.
Airsoft is better suited to milsim, there's more focus on gear, appearance and scenarios wheras paintball has a more physical, fast, close style of play, the gear is usually built more for its own purpose rather than to imitate military. So if you're a military/gun/tactical enthusiast then airsoft is the way to go, Paintball's better if you're just after a physical combat experience.

And bang rules are pretty necessary to ensure safety, otherwise you end up at best pissing someone off, at worst chipping someone's tooth or drawing blood. I'm sure milsim events will be even less tolerant of cheaters.
Who cleans up all the plastic pellets?
Who cleans up all the plastic pellets?
Most outdoor events require biodegradable BBs, so nobody.
well.. airsoft hits from close range hurt like fuck. pistols do less though
pistols can hurt just as much on a warm day my pistol shoots hotter than my rifle

And remember that you'll be fighting him/her next round too so what comes around would very likely go around.
A classmate wants me to join his airsoft group where they gather about 100 people and play. Looks pretty fun but I'm not sure if it is such a good idea to have me running around with a gun, I'm of middle-eastern descent and in Sweden the airsoft guns don't even need orange barrels or anything apparently. So if somebody sees a hairy brown person running with a gun the police would come down on me pretty quick. :v:
Isn't Sweden anti-racist to the point of discriminating against Swedes? Or is this guy exaggerating?
Isn't Sweden anti-racist to the point of discriminating against Swedes? Or is this guy exaggerating?
While this discussion probably belongs in another thread, that is pretty much true. To the point where Swedes are willingly eradicating their own culture in order to make sure that nobody gets "offended".
What ensures they're not just like "ha you didn't hit me :o) "
Integrity, refs
The shot at 05:00 is beautiful.
Right in the fucking face, I loved it. Also surprised that none of the shots he had were compromised by branches.
Wow this looks incredibly fun. Almost makes me want to get back into airsoft.
I would just want to get a camo uniform, vest or webbing of some kind, a helmet, and probably an ak-74m and then show up to events like this. You can actually get plate carriers and rigs for like $35 at a military surplus store.
Man, I haven't been to bbwars for a while now. I just don't have the time or energy, yet I have all these guns on my shelf just waiting to be used.

I don't see whats wrong with that at all, sometimes its hard to tell if you've actually hit them or not. Should just sell it tbh.
What ensures they're not just like "ha you didn't hit me :o) "
More BB's
I watched this earlier today and I'm like.. yeah I think I should get into airsoft in general.
That event was actually a mess.
Our first stage of the Lion's Claw Tactical Challenge was a Boeing 747 hostage rescue mission. I won't be showing any other stage because they were pretty terrible. So terrible that during our last stage one OPFOR tried to fight Miguel.

It was pretty derpy that the ALL terrorists were hiding in closets and bathrooms....the "hostages" could've just walked off the plane and we could've just done a controlled detonation of the plane with the terrorists inside. :P

There were actually 4 hostages....it's just that the other hostages didn't know there were other hostages. It was kind of a mess.
Also some people there were "speed-softers" instead of actual mil-sim players. There was also a bunch of miscommunication and everyone moved really slow.
That hit at 5:04. That fucking left a mark for sure. MAN I could feel it through the monitor. A good spring rifle can lodge one of those BB's into skin with no problem
